    摘要: A coin drop mechanism comprises a support member movably connected to a channel member. A contoured channel configured to receive at least one coin is formed on at least one of the members and defines a coin slot when the members are in contact with each other. The channel is configured to guide the at least one coin to a desired location aligned with an actuator opening on the members. The mechanism further comprises an actuator. The actuator comprises a actuation member configured to travel through the actuator opening, engage the at least one coin against a surface of the channel member, and displace the channel member relative to the support member causing a selected product to be dispensed from a product receptacle.

Each jukebox includes processor means for controlling the computer jukebox, storage and retrieval means for data, display means for selection menus, audio production means for playing musical records, and a user interface enabling patrons to communicate with the processor means. The central station can be used to download musical recording data to each computer jukebox, and each computer jukebox can upload usage data to the central station.

    摘要: A tracking system counts events in the operation of multiple machines or devices over a wide geographic area. For example, for bulk venders the system counts each vend responsive to rotation through a cycle of the coin mechanism, and preferably records the date and time of each vend. An active tag has a memory for storing data representing a vending event, for example the date and time of the event. The data is periodically read by an interrogator, which downloads the data stored in the tag memory and erases the memory to reset the tag for continued monitoring of the vender. With this information an operator can reconcile revenues, track when sales take place and over what period of time, and track the work habits of service personnel.

    摘要: An improved coin slide for use in a coin chute assembly is disclosed in which the coin slide has a handle portion extending upwardly from the upper surface of the slide. The handle has an inwardly facing inclined surface which is defined in terms of a line positioned at an obtuse angle to a second line defined by the upper surface of the slide. The configuration is such that the obtuse angle defined by these two lines, and the radius of curvature at the corner between the inwardly facing sloping surface of the handle and the upper surface of the slide, are sufficiently large to cause a prybar applied to the inwardly facing surface of the handle to ride up the sloping surface without being able to exert a force sufficient to move the coin slide outwardly to its retracted position against the action of a ratchet mechanism.

    摘要: A coin changer comprises a coin changer main part and an electronic type coin discrimination device which can be readily mounted to and detached from the coin changer main part. The electronic type coin discrimination device includes a detection coil for detecting characteristics of a deposited coin, a discrimination circuit for judging whether the deposited coin is a true coin or a counterfeit one in response to the output of the detection coil and produces a sole kind of discrimination signal representative of trueness or falsity of the coin regardless of the denomination of the coin, a true coin passage and a counterfeit coin passage provided behind the detection coil and a mechanical coin sort-out device provided in the true coin passage for sorting out coins by denomination. The coin changer main part comprises coin switches for detecting coins of respective denominations having been sorted out by the sort-out device, a coin receiving device for receiving the coins which have passed through the coin switches, a control circuit for effecting control operations including a money amount counting control, a vend control and a change payout control, and an electromagnetic device for distributing the deposited coin to either the true coin passage or the counterfeit coin passage in the coin discrimination device in response to the output of the discrimination circuit. This electromagnetic device distributes the coins by projecting or withdrawing a reject pin into or from a bifurcation of the true coin passage and the counterfeit coin passage.

The invention relates to a latch inhibiting mechanism which prevents the latch mechanism, normally requiring a deposit of the proper amount of coinage in return for a single activation of the machine, from engaging until the machine has been activated the predetermined number of times. A cam, during the initial activation, is moved by a reciprocating rack a predetermined distance for each activation of the machine and prevents the latch mechanism from operating until the machine has been activated the predetermined number of times.
