摘要： A method for monitoring beverage or foodstuff container consumption includes: deriving, at a beverage or foodstuff preparation machine, container consumption information; and updating, using the consumption information, stock state information. The stock state information contains information detailing an amount of containers at a location of the machine. The method also includes obtaining, at an electronic device external to the machine, the updated stock state information; and/or receiving, on the electronic device from a remote resource over a network, stock order information which includes information detailing an amount of containers purchased by a user. The method further includes updating the stock state information using the stock order information; and displaying, at the electronic device, the amount of stock derived from the updated stock state information.

摘要： Various embodiments of kiosks for purchasing mobile phones and other mobile electronic devices from users are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the kiosks include an apparatus to turn a mobile phone over on an inspection surface. This apparatus can enable the kiosk to visually inspect both the front and back sides of the mobile device on the inspection surface with an inspection system (e.g., imaging devices, lighting devices, etc.) positioned above the inspection surface, and can eliminate the need to position a second inspection system below a transparent inspection surface to visually inspect, e.g., the back side of the mobile device through the transparent inspection surface. In some embodiments, the kiosk also includes a wireless mobile phone charging device that can be used for, e.g., phone charging and identification.

摘要： Method and apparatus are described which are used to provide enhanced functionality on gaming devices associated with the play of wager-based games. A secondary processor, separate from a game controller on the gaming device, can be used to provide the enhanced functionality. In one embodiment, the secondary processor can be used to control a display interface on a video display, such as a video display used to play a wager-based game on the gaming device. The display interface can be used to purchase items, such as a lottery ticket, under control of the secondary processor. After purchase, the lottery ticket can be dispensed from the gaming device using a printer. After the lottery ticket is dispensed, it can be reinserted into the gaming device and validated. If any winnings are associated with the lottery ticket, it can be credited to the electronic gaming machine.
