摘要： The slide switch includes a body, a slider, a terminal, and an armature. The slider is slidably held in the body and is pushed by insertion of the object to slidingly move. The terminal is provided with a fixed contact point disposed on a surface, facing the slider, of the body along a sliding movement direction. The armature is attached to the slider and is provided with a moving contact point that slides on a fixed contact point disposition surface of the body in association with sliding movement of the slider. The slider is provided with an engagement part to receive an action of a moving part that moves in the sliding movement direction in association with extraction and insertion of the object, and the engagement part is in shape of generating a free running distance in which the slider does not act even when the moving part acts.

摘要： A rotary switch assembly for use with a fuel burner valve having a user rotatable shaft. The switch has an annular sleeve which upon being received over the valve shaft is engaged to be rotated by the valve shaft. The rotor has a conductive contact ring frictionally engaging the rotor with inward projections on the ring frictionally engaging torque transmitting grooves formed on the rotor. The rotor is journalled on the switch base which has stationary contacts provided on opposite sides of the rotor. User rotation of the valve shaft causes the rotor to rotate and the wiper contacts complete a circuit between the stationary contacts.

摘要： A bimetal snap disc thermostat is disclosed which is structured for automated assembly. Such thermostat includes a body with contact supports molded therein in a manner providing sufficient strength so that terminals can be riveted onto the contact supports after assembly. The body and contact support subassembly is structured so that it is symmetrical on opposite sides of a central axis. A disc cup is provided with axial and radial surfaces which accurately locate the disc during and after assembly. Also disclosed is a method of gaging and calibrating the thermostat automatically. Calibration of the spring force of the movable contact is accomplished by sensing the force in a given position and subsequently deforming the spring until a predetermined force exists in such predetermined position. Gaging is accomplished by deforming a projection from the movable contact arm until a predetermined uniform spacing is established between such projection and a gaging surface.

摘要： A trip-free manual reset thermostatic switch with a thermostatic element for actuating a switch assembly by means of an actuator. The thermostatic element is mounted for flexing movement on a base and moves from a first to a second position relative to the base in response to predetermined temperature conditions, and then remains in the second position independent of further changes in temperature. The base and thermostatic element are provided with a cover movable toward and away from the base and held captive thereto. A switch assembly is mounted within the cover. This assembly includes a first contact secured to the cover and a contact arm one end of which is also secured inside the cover and having a free end carrying a second contact normally engaged with the first contact but movable out of engagement therewith. When the thermostatic element moves into its second position, the actuator concurrently moves the contact arm to separate the contacts. The cover, when moved from a normal to a reset position relative to said base, moves the actuator to bias the thermostatic element away from its second and toward its first positon, but the contacts will remain separated and the thermostatic element will not move into its first position while said element is subject to the predetermined temperature conditions. However, the contacts will reclose and the thermostatic element will be moved into its first position in the absence of the predetermined temperature conditions.
