    摘要: A multiple spark-gap arrester is disclosed. In an embodiment the arrester includes a series connection of a plurality of spark gaps between a first potential node and a reference-ground potential node and a trigger circuit having an input and an output, the input being coupled to a second potential node between two adjacent spark gaps of the plurality of spark gaps, and the output being coupled to at least one of the spark gaps between the second potential node and the reference-ground potential node, wherein the trigger circuit is configured, when at least one spark gap between the first potential node and the second potential node is ignited, to supply a trigger signal for the at least one of the spark gaps between the second potential node and the reference-ground potential node.

    摘要: A multi-step tube (1) of a ceramic material comprises a tube body (1) of the ceramic material having an inner wall (11) located inside the tube body (1). A surface of the inner wall (11) is formed with a plurality of steps (2). The steps (2) are formed to extend differently far inside the tube (1). A multi-layered gas discharge tube comprises the multi-step tube (1). An inner electrode (31) is disposed on a step (21), and an outer electrode (41) is disposed on an outer surface (13) of the tube body (1). A disc (51) is partially placed on a step (22) and the inner electrode (31) between the inner electrode (31) and the outer electrode (41) so that, in case of an electrostatic discharge, the discharge will only take place in the center of the multi-step tube (1) and not at the border of the isolated ceramic disc (51).

    摘要: A station arrester employing metal oxide varistors has varistors whose capacitances increase in a direction measured from the ground side of the arrester. An approximately uniform voltage distribution can be produced across the varistors when appropriately graded according to their positions in the varistor stack. In this configuration, the varistor disks located near the top or line end of the stack are not subjected to increased thermal stresses.

    摘要: A surge diverter connected between a conductor and ground comprising several spark-quenching gaps, voltage-controlled shunting resistors connected in series with these gaps and voltage controlled control-resistors, each connected in parallel either to a gap alone or to a unit formed by a gap and a shunting resistor in series with the latter. The voltage-controlled control-resistors have current-voltage characteristics with substantially the same steepness, while the resistance value of these control-resistors at the rated voltage increases sequentially from the conductor to grand.
