    摘要: An acoustic noise mitigation system for an electric machine includes one or more suspension members. The suspension members may include arcuate members that are positioned between a machine housing and a stator. During operation of the electric machine, the electromagnetic force frequency that is generated by the stator relative to a rotating rotor is able to be absorbed by the suspension members. As a result, acoustic noise generated by the electric machine is reduced.

Also, tip parts (240) of second protrusion sections (24), which hold the stator core (60) from inside of the second case (22) in the direction of the rotational center axis line (LO) in conjunction with the first case (21), are tapered toward the stator core (60). Thus, when the protruding lengths of the first protrusion sections (23) and the second protrusion sections (24) are set somewhat long in advance, the first protrusion sections (23) and the second protrusion sections (24) hold the stator core (60) in a state in which the tip parts (230, 240) are crushed.

    摘要: A stepper motor has a stator winding assembly with a permanent ring magnet located radially outside of electromagnetic windings for the stator poles. The permanent ring magnet remotely magnetizes a rotor seated by bearings on an axial shaft so as to rotate within the stator winding assembly, thereby freeing up space within the rotor for an internal damper. The rotor has a cylindrical damping weight enclosed within, but not fixed to, the rotor. The weight ideally has a rotational moment of inertia that substantially matches that of the rotor. The weight is elastically coupled to the rotor by a viscous material contained in the rotor and filling the space between the weight and the rotor and between the weight and the axial shaft. The viscosity of this material is selected such that motion of the weight is delayed, preferably so as to be substantially 180° out-of-phase with, but at the same frequency as, the stepping rotation of the rotor. The weight thereby serves as a counterweight to the rotor so as to cancel vibrations generated by stepping of the rotor.

The apparatus has a back plate fitted to the movable member of the pulse motor for serving as a base part of the apparatus, a first permanent magnet mounted on a flat plate portion of the back plate for transmitting movement of the motor to later stages of the vibration damping apparatus, and an inertia member disposed in opposed relation to the first permanent magnet and movable relative to the first permanent magnet in a plane parallel to the flat plate portion and having a second permanent magnet thereon magnetically coupled with the first permanent magnet, the inertia member having a natural frequency substantially equal to the natural frequency of the pulse motor without the inertia member.

    摘要: An inertia damper having a mounting base to be mounted on a rotary shaft and an inertia weight component which is coupled to the mounting base through a vibration absorbing layer, the vibration absorbing layer being made of a gel material with a penetration valve of approximately 50 to 200. The inertia weight component is adhered to one surface of the vibration absorbing layer and the other surface of the vibration absorbing layer is adhered to the mounting base of the rotary shaft. A vibration wave generated at the rotary shaft side is dispersedly absorbed by deformation of gel material which forms the vibration absorbing layer and a vibratory component can be removed from a braking motion.

    摘要: The device comprises an external inertia element which is fixed to a damping member which is coaxially fixed with respect to a shaft of a stepping motor, in such a way that it can rotate together therewith. The external inertia element comprises a metal mass in the form of an annulus of limited thickness. The damping member comprises a first circular flange to which the annulus is fixed, a second circular flange by means of which the device is fixed to the shaft and an annulus of elastomeric material connecting the two flanges. The materials and the dimensions of the device can be calculated, proportioned and pre-arranged in such a way that the device is compact but can stop oscillations of the stepping motor in a very short time. The device is particularly suited to damping the oscillations of a stepping motor which is used for example for positioning a printing member with respect to a print point or for positioning a recording head with respect to a magnetic disc.

    摘要: To damp a stepper motor powered band drive for a disk drive, there is a relatively inexpensive, but efficient mechanical damper comprising a predetermined inertial mass which is concentrically coupled to the capstan of the band drive by an energy absorbing elastomer. The mass, its geometry, and the energy absorbing characteristics of the elastomer are selected to apply a dynamic force to the stepper motor which opposes and counteracts any unwanted oscillation of the stepper motor as the read/write head of the disk drive arrives at a selected data track. This damper is relatively free of potential contaminants and is, therefore, particularly attractive for Winchester disk drives.

    摘要: In the system disclosed, five stator windings of a stepping motor are connected in series with each other to form a loop having five connecting points. Control means switch five transfer switches, each having an armature connected to a connecting point, between a positive and negative potential so as simultaneously to energize four windings and short-circuit the fifth. The control means then shifts the short-circuited condition to other windings in cyclical sequence while energizing the remaining four windings at any time.
