摘要: A technique for selectively configuring a case of a handheld device to shield an antenna from receiving or transmitting wireless signals is disclosed. The technique includes moving a blocking element on the case between a first position and a second position. The blocking element is a physical structure that is rotatable, slidable, or removable to switch between the first position and the second position. In response to moving the blocking element to the first position, the blocking element blocks wireless signals received or transmitted by the antenna of the handheld device. In response to moving the blocking element to the second position, wireless signals can be received or transmitted through the case by the antenna.

摘要: A muffling device includes an acquisition circuit, configured to obtain reference sound wave information of a user. The muffling device includes a modulation circuit, configured to analyze an acoustic wave characteristic of the reference sound wave information to obtain a characteristic parameter of the reference sound wave information. The muffling device includes a muffling circuit, configured to generate compensated sound wave information according to the characteristic parameter of the reference sound wave information. The muffling device includes a correction circuit, configured to compare muffed sound wave information superimposed by the compensated sound wave information and the reference sound wave information with the reference sound wave information, and feed back a comparison result to the muffling circuit. The muffling circuit can adjust the compensated sound wave information according to a fed back comparison result. The muffling device includes an output circuit, configured to output adjusted compensated sound wave information.

摘要: Headphones includes a pair of cups, each housing a speaker to be positioned over an ear of a user, a microphone, a processor, an actuator to move a member of at least one of the cups to uncover at least a portion of the ear of the user to expose the user to ambient sound, a user control to active a training mode of the headphones in which the processor operates the microphone to record relevant sounds occurring when the training mode is activated, the processor to subsequently analyze ambient sounds external to the headphones that are received by the microphone and compare those ambient sounds to the recorded relevant sounds and the processor to selectively activate the actuator to uncover at least a portion of the ear of the user to expose the user to ambient sound in response to determining that the ambient sounds match the relevant sounds.

摘要: A flexible method to provide a variety of value-added coatings to a piece of jewelry or a group of jewelries is disclosed. Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and Molecular Layer Deposition (MLD) technique is implemented to deposit a layer of conformal coating on intended jewelry surfaces, including both exterior and interior surfaces, to enhance a vast majority of process-driven or end of use driven properties. The coating compositions include dielectrics material, metals, organic materials or organic-inorganic hybrid materials. The method steps of forming a layer of coating are straightforward and can be tailed to different purposes.

摘要: The disclosed technology contemplates use of a communication device in public without a user's voice being overheard by the public. In certain situations, public use of a communication device, even when the conversation is private, may not be appropriate. So, a preferred embodiment of the disclosed technology involves a system of enabling or disabling a communication device. Some embodiments may include computer hardware and memory with voice-recognition software that is configured to receive a user's spoken voice during a test conversation, analyze the voice for its hertz spectrums evident in the test conversation, and subsequently employ the data during active noise cancelation. Suitably, this voice recognized noise cancelation or active noise cancelation via voice algorithm can be used to actively noise cancel a user's voice in a manner that is specifically tailored to the user by directing the sound source to provide an inverted signal that is 180 degrees out of phase with the user's actual voice. In one embodiment, the voice algorithm allows a digital CPU to anticipate the manner, including tonality, rhythm, and cadence, of a user's speaking and predict an appropriately inverted signal so that noise is substantially canceled.
