    摘要: A power-over-Ethernet (PoE) powered multichannel streaming audio amplifier includes a plurality of Ethernet ports each configured to be coupled to an Ethernet cable and capable of receiving power and audio data transmitted over the Ethernet cables. Power supply circuitry connected to the Ethernet ports is configured to combine and manage the power received at the Ethernet ports. A microprocessor subsystem powered by the power supply circuitry is configured to receive and process the audio data to generate output audio signals. A digital audio amplifier powered by the power supply circuitry amplifies the output audio signals received from the microprocessor system. A plurality of audio outputs connected to the digital audio amplifier are each configured to be connected to a different one of a plurality of speaker devices to transmit the audio output signals amplified by the digital audio amplifier to the plurality of speaker devices.

    摘要: Multiple virtual source locations may be defined for a volume within which audio objects can move. A set-up process for rendering audio data may involve receiving reproduction speaker location data and pre-computing gain values for each of the virtual sources according to the reproduction speaker location data and each virtual source location. The gain values may be stored and used during “run time,” during which audio reproduction data are rendered for the speakers of the reproduction environment. During run time, for each audio object, contributions from virtual source locations within an area or volume defined by the audio object position data and the audio object size data may be computed. A set of gain values for each output channel of the reproduction environment may be computed based, at least in part, on the computed contributions. Each output channel may correspond to at least one reproduction speaker of the reproduction environment.

    摘要: A system 3 synchronises a plurality of virtual reality headsets 2 to corresponding multichannel audio. System 3 has a plurality of independently operable virtual reality headsets each having one or more images preloaded thereon and a distribution device 4 in the form of a server is in Wi-Fi communication via a wireless access point 5 with each virtual reality headset where the server 4 triggers the one or more preloaded images on each headset. A sound rack device 6 is in Wi-Fi communication with server 4 and configured to send time codes signals thereto. A sound mixer 7 is in cable communication with the sound rack device 6 and receives audio file data corresponding to virtual reality image content therefrom simultaneously with the server 4. The server 4 is cable connected to the wireless access point 5 and configured to simultaneously message each headset 2. At least one speaker element is provided for each channel of audio being connected to the mixer 7 such that upon receipt of the audio file, the mixer 7 is configured to relay each channel audio signal to respective speakers 8 in synchronisation with the VR headset images.
