Abstract:
A system updates service attributes associated with an Internet Protocol (IP) communications network (figure 3). The system includes a network interface, an operational data store, and a redirect server. The network interface (320) receives at least one update to one of the service attributes from a user via a data network and forwards the alt least one update to the operational data store. The operational data store stores the at least one update and forwards the at least one update to the redirect server (810). The redirect server stores the at least one update so as to make the at least one update available in substantially real time.
Abstract:
A system updates a billing unit. The system receives at least one modification to an Internet Protocol (IP) communications network account from a user and modifies a first record in a database based on the received at least one modification. The system transmits the at least one modification from the database to the billing unit and updates a second record, corresponding to the first record, in the billing unit based on the at least one modification so as to make the updated second record available in substantially real time.
Abstract:
An operational support system (OSS) (130) updates a lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) database (334) based on changes made to a second database such as the operational data store (ODS) (332). The system determines differences between Internet Protocol (IP) communication service records stored in the second database (332) and IP communication service records stored in the LDAP database (334). Then creates a transaction file based on the differences. The system updates the LDAP database (334) using the transaction file.
Abstract:
A method for updating a billing unit includes receiving at least one modification (1050) to an IP communications network account from a user. Modifying a first record in a database based on the received at least one modification (1050), transmitting the at least one modification from the database to the billing unit, and updating a second record, corresponding to the first record, in the billing unit based on the at least one modification (1070). The updated second record is available in substantially real time.
Abstract:
An operational support system (130) includes a group of legacy telephony system components (340), a group of data network components (360), and a process manager (310). The process manager (310) manages communications between the legacy telephony system components (340) and the data network components (360).
Abstract:
A system processes calls in an Internet Protocol (IP) communications network. The system includes a lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) database, an LDAP server, and a redirect server. The LDAP database stores a group of IP communication service attributes. The LDAP server (1010) receive a request for a database update, extracts the group of IP communication service attributes from the LDAP database, and transfers the extracted IP communication service attributes to the redirect server (1020). The redirect server stores the extracted IP communication service attributes and processes a call using the stored IP communication service attributes (1030).
