The lifting tube (1) is adapted for connection to a vacuum source (3) and is extendable and retractable in order to achieve an extending or retracting movement of the lifting tube (1) for movement of a load (7) by means of regulating the pressure inside the lifting tube (1). The apparatus (101 ) also includes at least one flexible member (105) having a first end (106) connected to the second end part (104) of the tube (102) and a second end (107) for connecting to a coupling device (108) for coupling the flexible member to an item. A guide means (109) is arranged to support the at least one flexible member (105) so that the at least one flexible member (105) extends around the guide means (109) and extends along a first line to one side of the guide means (109) and along a second line to the other side of the guide means (109). The invention relates to a vacuum tube lifting device comprising a lifting hose (15), which lifting hose (15) has a first end (15a) for attachment of the lifting hose (15) and a second end (15b) for connection to a means (17, 18) disposed to couple the lifting hose (15) to a load (25), wherein the lifting hose (15) is adapted for connection to an adjustable vacuum source (11) and a control unit (13) disposed to adjust the pressure inside the lifting hose (15) by means of input signals for the purpose of achieving an extending or contracting shifting movement of the lifting hose (15) for shifting of a load (25). The device comprises an arrangement (26) disposed to measure in an ongoing manner a parameter proportional to the momentary length of the lifting hose (15) or a parameter proportional to a change in the momentary length of the lifting hose (15), and to emit to the control unit (13) at least a first signal, which is used by the control unit (13) to obtain an actual value, and that said control unit (13) is disposed to automatically adjust the vacuum source (11) for the purpose of adjusting the length of the lifting hose (15) to a desired target value starting out from said actual value. The invention relates to a device that facilitates automatic adjustment of the pressure in the lifting hose through a possibility of automatic adjustment of at least the vacuum source. The invention relates to a vacuum hoisting device with a vertical hoisting tube (2) suspended at its upper end and connected to a vacuum source (4), and which at a lower end is provided with a suction foot (14) and a tubular positioning handle (15) for manoeuvring of the suction foot, and a manually operated valve device (26), which is kept closed for hoisting of the suction foot and is kept open for lowering of the suction foot by admission of air to the hoisting tube. For operating the valve device (26) this is connected with a grip sleeve (16) slidably journalled on the positioning handle, which is directed obliquely downwards, and the connection of the valve device (26) to the grip sleeve (16) is designed such, that the valve device closes when the grip sleeve is slided upwards and opens when the grip sleeve is slided downwards for synchronizing the movement of the suction foot upwards and downwards with the movement of the grip sleeve.

In einem Verfahren zum Betreiben von Unterdruck-Hebezeugen (1) mit mindestens einem elastisch verformbaren ünterdruckheber (4) und mit schaltbarer Unterdruckerzeugung sowie mit mindestens einem motorischen Hebeantrieb (2), unter Verwendung einer Lasterfassungseinrichtung (8) zum Erfassen des Gewichts einer von dem Hebezeug (1) aufgenommenen Last (3), erzeugt die Lasterfassungseinrichtung (8) unmittelbar nach dem Erfassen einer ein vorbestimmtes Taragewicht (T) des Hebezeugs (1) übersteigenden Last (3) bei für das Anheben der Last nicht ausreichendem Unterdruck (V) ein Sicherungssignal, das den Hebeantrieb (2) mit hilfe einer Abschaltsteuerung (2S) mittelbar oder unmittelbar deaktiviert und/oder ein weiteres Anheben derm Last verhindert, wenn bei erfasster erhöhter Last und einsetzendem Hub kein oder kein hinreichender Unterdruck anliegt. Diese Funktion verhindert das Anheben von Lasten ausschließlich durch einen Saugnapf -Effekt von Unterdruckhebern.
