The present invention makes reference to an automated service system with automatic user' s identification involving a self-service terminal (1) equipped with facial biometric recognition system with frontal camera (4), aforementioned camera is composed by an outer body for the frontal camera, flat surface coupled to such body; an image capturing device (digital camera or digitalizing scanner), LED light (Light Emitting Diode) for internal illumination of the camera, polarizing filters to adjust the camera internal illumination. The invention also makes reference to the automated service process with automatic user's identification.

A commercial transaction, such as a contactless point of sale transaction, uses a purchasing device (6) such as a contactless payment card to wirelessly communicate transaction information to a point of sale device (2). An authentication device (8) such as a smart phone or smart watch may be used to wirelessly communicate authentication or verification information to the purchasing device or the point of sale device to enable the transaction to be completed.

본 발명은, 생체 정보 인식을 이용한 결제 방법, 이를 위한 장치 및 시스템에 관한 것으로서, 결제 시스템의 단말 장치가, 결제 서비스에 이용할 생체 정보 인식 방식을 미리 설정하고, 미리 설정된 생체 정보 인식 방식에 따라 인식된 생체 정보에 대한 생체 등록 정보 및 결제 정보를 등록하고, 결제 요청 시 미리 설정된 생체 정보 인식 방식에 따라 생체 정보를 인식하고, 인식된 생체 정보를 이용하여 결제를 요청하면, 서비스 장치가, 단말 장치로부터 생체 등록 정보 및 결제 정보를 수신하여 미리 등록하고, 단말 장치로부터 결제 요청 시 수신된 생체 정보를 기 등록된 생체 등록 정보와 비교하여 사용자 인증을 수행하고, 사용자 인증이 성공하면, 생체 정보에 매핑되어 등록된 결제 정보를 이용하여 요청된 결제 처리를 수행한 후, 결제 처리 결과 정보를 단말 장치로 전송함으로써, 보다 정확하게 사용자 인증을 수행할 수 있으며, 결제 시의 보안을 강화할 수 있는 효과가 있다.

An apparatus for processing telephone orders includes a communications module (202) that establishes a telephonic connection between a customer service representative of a merchant and a customer, an identification module (204) that receives an identifier linking the customer to a customer billing profile, and a billing profile access module (206) that receives electronic access to the customer billing profile. The customer billing profile includes billing information of the customer. The apparatus includes a transaction module (208) that processes a sales order using the customer billing profile of the customer in response to a customer approval of the sales order. The sales order is for a product and/or a service offered by the merchant. The billing information of the customer billing profile is unavailable for viewing by the customer service representative.

An approach is provided for managing vehicle-related payment and/or billing transactions using a navigation-based user interface. A navigation extensions platform determines payment information, billing information, or a combination thereof associated with one or more vehicle related services. The navigation extensions platform causes, at least in part, a rendering of the payment information, the billing information, or a combination thereof on a navigation-based user interface associated with a vehicle, a device associated with the vehicle, or a combination thereof. The navigation extensions platform further causes, at least in part, an initiation of one or more payments to the one or more vehicle-related services based, at least in part, on one or more interactions with the navigation-based user interface.

Techniques for efficient transfer of funds between parties using personal communication devices are presented. A first user can use a first communication device to transfer funds from an account associated with the first user to a second user via a communication address associated with the second user's second communication device even if the second user is not registered with a financial service provider associated with the account of the first user. The funds can be sent from the first communication device using the Internet, mobile communication systems, or other communication technology via a message, an email, a voice mail, etc., to the second user, wherein notification of the funds can be sent to the second communication device. The first user can send funds using an account with the financial service provider or an affiliated account, and the second user can have the funds deposited into a desired account.

In an exemplary embodiment, a method for leveraging a payment token comprising a non-confidential number (i.e., "cellcard number"), such as a phone number associated with a user's portable computing device ("PCD"), to effect purchase transactions against one of possibly a plurality of value accounts associated with the non-confidential number comprises presenting a cellcard number for purchase of goods, requesting that a value account associated with the cellcard number be debited and, before debiting the value account and completing the purchase transaction, transmitting a request for authorization of the transaction to the user's PCD.

An IC card processor carried with an IC card as electronic money confirms information about the balance related directly to electronic money as well as other information such as shop names. When the IC card (20) is connected, pieces of card information (main and supplement information) are read out from nonvolatile memory of the IC (22). A user searches, displays and selects such main information as shop names and payments by pressing SHIFT key (5) and SELECT key (4). Supplement information, such as award points, is displayed by pressing ENTER key (6). The card information can be sorted, edited or selectively deleted. IC cards of different specifications can also be handled.

A value store electric power meter is provided. The server of an electric power supplier, an electric power seller, or an electric power reseller transfers value through an electric power line through a built-in electric power modem, stores value received through the electric power modem inside the value store electric power meter in a value store module, reduces a value according to the amount of electric power consumption, omits processes of visually reading a meter, calculating the amount of use, printing and mailing a bill, settling up, and paying an uncollected amount and arrears. Accordingly, it is possible to save electric power supplying costs, to reduce the electric power rate by a user, and maximizing the profit of the electric power supplier. The electric power meter is used for IC card payment type gas and water meters in which the IC card having credit value is transferred and stored in an off-line state. Accordingly, the electric power value and the added value measurement is easily and rapidly performed. Therefore, it is convenient for the user and remarkably reduces all the costs.
