Abstract:
This invention pertains to silicone core-shell or gel particles that contain active ingredients. The silicone particles are produced by emulsifying and reacting a composition comprising a siloxane have a first reactive group, a crosslinker having a second reactive group, at least one emulsion liquid, a surfactant and an active ingredient. The active ingredient is encapsulated in the silicone particle and are useful in personal care products, textiles, auto care products, and laundry products for the delivery of active ingredients.

Abstract:
Methods of manufacturing a heater are provided that generally include forming a laminate having a dielectric layer, a first double-sided adhesive dielectric layer, and a conductive layer. Next, a circuit pattern is created into the conductive layer, and then the circuit pattern is covered with a second double-sided adhesive dielectric layer. The second double-sided adhesive dielectric layer is covered with a sacrificial layer, and then the heater is formed, the heater comprising the dielectric layer, the first double-sided adhesive dielectric layer, the conductive layer, and the second double-sided adhesive dielectric layer. Subsequently, the sacrificial layer is removed.
Abstract:
A computer system for fraud detection in a payment card transaction system is provided. The computer system is programmed to receive a card transaction authorization request message for a payment card transaction initiated with a merchant that includes a plurality of data elements to be verified and a verification request indicator, determine whether the verification request indicator is valid, transmit the request message and verification request indicator to an issuer associated with the payment card, and receive a card transaction authorization response message from the issuer that includes an issuer authorization decision and a verification indicator associated with each data element verified by the issuer. The verification indicator indicates a status of a verification of the data element with data stored in one or more databases of the issuer. The computer system is further programmed to transmit the card transaction authorization response message to the merchant.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to fusion proteins. In particular, the present invention relates to protein tags for use in protein solubilization and purification.
Abstract:
A method and system for processing a merchant identification request from a private label payment card issuer is provided. The issuer is communicatively coupled to a multi-party payment card interchange that includes access to a database. The database stores a plurality of historical multi-party payment card transactions. The method includes transmitting a list of private label merchant locations from the issuer to the interchange wherein the list includes physical location information relating to the private label merchants listed, processing the list at the interchange by applying thereto an identification analysis including one of merchant matching only, test transaction only, and merchant matching plus test transaction, identifying at least one private label merchant location included within the list including associating a unique identifier with the at least one identified private label merchant location, and outputting the at least one identified private label merchant location with the associated unique identifier.
Abstract:
This invention is directed to an elastomer composition produced by crosslinking a high molecular weight≡Si-H containing polysiloxane and a diene, diyne or ene-yne compound in the presence of a diluent. The elastomer composition is suitable for use in forming personal care compositions.
Abstract:
Resin modified elastomers, methods of making them and their uses are disclosed. The method for making the elastomers comprises reacting in a diluent an = SiH functional siloxane; a diene , diyne or ene-yne compound, a resin having the formula (R 1 3 SiO 1/2 ) x (SiO 4/2 ) y (R 1 SiO 3/2 ) z where R 1 is independently a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms or an unsaturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms x is ≥ 1, y ≥ 0, z ≥ 0 and y+z ≥ 1.
Abstract:
The invention provides a controlled-release pharmaceutical formulation for oral administration comprising 4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2-(5-methanesulfonamido-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinol-2-yl)-5-(2-pyridyl)quinazoline, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and a pharmaceutically acceptable adjuvant, diluent or carrier; characterized in that the formulation is adapted to release at least 50% by weight of the 4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2-(5-methanesulfonamido-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinol-2-yl)-5-(2-pyridyl)-quinazoline, or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, after 6 hours in Apparatus 1 described in the United States Pharmacopoeia 24 (2000), pp 1941-1943, having 1 litre vessels, baskets of 40 mesh (0.4 mm apertures), a rotation speed of 100 rpm, and a dissolution medium consisting of 900 ml of 0.01 M hydrochloric acid containing 0.7% w/v sodium chloride at 37 °C. Formulations according to the invention are suitable for the treatment of BPH.
Abstract:
This invention relates to silicone elastomer compositions in the form of gels and/or organized structures. The silicone elastomer compositions are produced by reacting a siloxane having a first reactive group with a crosslinker having a second reactive group in a diluent. One reactive group is selected from epoxy-functional groups or chlorohydrin functional groups while the other reactive group is a functional group that reacts with epoxy-functional groups or chlorohydrin functional groups (i.e. amine, hydroxyl). The silicone elastomer compositions of the instant invention are particularly useful in personal care products, textiles, auto care products, and laundry products and for the delivery of active ingredients.
