Abstract:
Methods of manufacturing a heater are provided that generally include forming a laminate having a dielectric layer, a first double-sided adhesive dielectric layer, and a conductive layer. Next, a circuit pattern is created into the conductive layer, and then the circuit pattern is covered with a second double-sided adhesive dielectric layer. The second double-sided adhesive dielectric layer is covered with a sacrificial layer, and then the heater is formed, the heater comprising the dielectric layer, the first double-sided adhesive dielectric layer, the conductive layer, and the second double-sided adhesive dielectric layer. Subsequently, the sacrificial layer is removed.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a water- and oil-repellent soil-resistant composition comprising (A) a fluorine-containing polymer having repeating units derived from a monomer comprising a fluorine-containing monomer and (B) a silane compound. The water- and oil-repellent soil-resistant composition comprising the fluorine-containing acrylate polymer can impart the excellent water- and oil-repellency and soil resistance to the porous substrate and is free from an organic solvent.
Abstract:
A method and system for processing a financial transaction using a co-brand proprietary payment card through a multi-party payment card interchange network is provided. The method includes storing within a database a list of merchants participating in a co-brand program with the interchange network, receiving an authorization request for the transaction involving the co-brand payment card wherein the authorization request includes a merchant identifier, determining whether the transaction originated at one of the participating merchants by comparing the received merchant identifier to the list of participating merchants stored within the database, manipulating the authorization request to include a private label identifier when the transaction is determined to have originated at one of the participating merchants, and transmitting an authorization response from the interchange network to the acquirer. The authorization response includes the private label identifier and designates the transaction for processing as a private label transaction.
Abstract:
A method and system for processing a financial transaction using a payment card through a third-party interchange network is provided. The financial transaction is initiated by a cardholder at a merchant location. The method includes storing a list of private label participating merchants, receiving an authorization request for the transaction involving the payment card wherein the authorization request includes a merchant location identifier for the merchant location where the transaction occurred, performing a merchant screening process on the transaction including validating the transaction as originating at a private label participating merchant location, manipulating at the interchange network the authorization request to include a private label identifier when the transaction is determined to have originated at one of the participating merchants, and transmitting the manipulated authorization request with the private label identifier to an issuer of the payment card for processing as a private label transaction.
Abstract:
A surface treated powder treated with a fluorine-modified aminosilane prepared by reacting (a) an epoxy-modified fluorocompound of the formula: (I) wherein Rf is a fluoroalkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms wherein at least one fluorine atom is optionally substituted by a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, and R 1 is a bivalent organic group, with (b) an amino group-containing silane compound of the formula: NHR 2 -X-[NH-X] a -Si(Y) 3 (II) wherein R 2 is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group, X each is, the same or different, a bivalent organic group, Y each is, the same or different, a monovalent organic group or a hydrolyzable group, wherein at least one Y is a hydrolyzable group, and a is from 0 to 10.
Abstract:
A method and system for processing a merchant identification request from a private label payment card issuer is provided. The issuer is communicatively coupled to a multi-party payment card interchange that includes access to a database. The database stores a plurality of historical multi-party payment card transactions. The method includes transmitting a list of private label merchant locations from the issuer to the interchange wherein the list includes physical location information relating to the private label merchants listed, processing the list at the interchange by applying thereto an identification analysis including one of merchant matching only, test transaction only, and merchant matching plus test transaction, identifying at least one private label merchant location included within the list including associating a unique identifier with the at least one identified private label merchant location, and outputting the at least one identified private label merchant location with the associated unique identifier.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods of preparing alkenes from beta-hydroxy or beta-sulfate carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid derivatives using thioesterase and optionally a sulfotransferase.
Abstract:
The invention describes a method for identifying an individual exhibiting symptoms of, or having a propensity to develop muscular dystrophy comprising determining the level of expression in a tissue sample from the individual of one or more proteins selected from pax-7, caveolin-3 and/or fast-myosin. The use of caveolin-3 to treat muscular dystrophy and compositions containing the compound are also claimed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to fusion proteins. In particular, the present invention relates to protein tags for use in protein solubilization and purification.
