A method of forming durable nonwoven fabrics by hydroentanglement includes providing a precursor web comprising a blend of matrix fibers, Iyocell fibers, and fusible binder fibers. The precursor web is subjected to hydroentanglement on a three-dimensional image transfer device to create a patterned and imaged fabric. Fabrics formed in accordance with the present invention exhibit significant improvements in strengh while remaining drapeable and are capable of withstanding multiple laundry washing with nominal shrinkage.

A heat-resistant fabric comprising a nonwoven fabric of a polyphenylene sulfide fiber impregnated with a synthetic resin in an amount of 5 to 50 % by weight based on the total amount of the nonwoven fabric, characterized in that the bending resistance as measured by the Gurley method specified in JIS L 1096 is 3000 to 10000 mgf. The fabric has heat resistance, pleatability, and shape retention at high temperature after the pleating and can be used in a filter medium and the like for collecting dust discharged from refuse incinerators, coal boilers, metal melting furnaces and the like at high temperature.

The present disclosure provides a thermal insulation flocculus material and a preparation method thereof and a thermal insulation product, and pertains to the field of thermal insulation flocculus materials. In one exemplary embodiment, the thermal insulation flocculus material of the present disclosure includes multiple overlapped single fiber meshes; and a spherical fiber assembly at least distributed between a part of adjacent single fiber meshes. In some embodiments, the thermal insulation flocculus material has combination properties such as excellent filling power, compression-resilience property, thermal insulation property and/or wash durability or the like.

A flame retardant liner, comprising a layered material in which a carded nonwoven wadding, comprising flame retardant fibers, is thermally bonded to a thin carded nonwoven top layer, for upholstered furniture. In the liner, a high proportion of the staple fibers in the top layer are thin bi-component binder fibers. Further, at least 20 wt% of the staple fibers in the wadding is thick staple fibers. Furthermore, also the wadding comprises bi-component binder fibers.
