The present disclosure provides cover systems for covering components of a cabin interior of a vehicle, such as an automobile, a train car, a bus, a boat, or an aircraft, among others. For instance, the cover systems may cover one or more of a seat and a floor, among others, of the cabin interior. The fabric cover systems may absorb or partially absorb one or more of low-frequency sounds, such as low-frequency noise emitted by an engine, and high-frequency sounds, among others. The fabric cover systems may absorb or partially absorb odor molecules. The fabric covering systems may include multiple layers. For instance, one of the layers may include activated carbon fibers. The activated carbon fibers may absorb or partially absorb one or more of sounds, liquids, and odors, among others.

The heat shield assembly includes an inner-most layer that is directly engagable with an exhaust component and is of a non-ceramic material with a first heat capacity and a first thermal conductivity. The heat shield assembly additionally includes an Insulating Saver that surrounds the inner-most layer and Is of a material that has a second heat capacity which is lower than the first heat capacity and has a second thermal conductivity which is lower than the first thermal conductivity. The direct engagement of the inner-most layer with the exhaust component allows heal to be easily transferred between the exhaust component and the inner-most Saver.

Embodiments of a laminate exhibiting enhanced acoustic performance are described. In one or more embodiments, the laminate includes a first substrate, an interlayer structure and a second substrate. One or both the first substrate and the second substrate have a thickness less than about 1.5 mm. In one or more embodiments, the interlayer structure includes a first interlayer and a second interlayer, wherein the first interlayer has a lower shear modulus than the second interlayer and is positioned near the center of the laminate (i.e., positioned at a thickness range from about 0.4t to about 0.6t, where t is the laminate thickness). The laminates exhibit a transmission loss of greater than about 38 dB over a frequency range from about 2500 Hz to about 6000 Hz. Vehicles and architectural panels including the laminates described herein are also provided.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Abschirmvorrichtung (1) einer Fahrgastzelle (2) eines Kraftfahrzeugs zum Abschirmen eines Innenraums (3) der Fahrgastzelle (2) gegenüber einem Wasserstofftank im Kraftfahrzeug, aufweisend einen Grundkörper (4). Der Grundkörper (4) weist einen Faserverbundwerkstoff mit einer wasserstoffpermeationshemmenden Beschichtung (5) auf und ist als Wand oder Wandabschnitt der Fahrgastzelle ausgebildet. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung eine Fahrgastzelle (2) und ein Kraftfahrzeug mit einer erfindungsgemäßen Abschirmvorrichtung (1). Des Weiteren betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zum Abschirmen eines Innenraums (3) einer Fahrgastzelle (2) eines Kraftfahrzeugs gegenüber einem Wasserstofftank im Kraftfahrzeug.
