A distribution transformer having an interlocking core frame is provided. The core frame encloses a transformer core having at least one phase and provides compression on the core of the transformer to bind the assembly together. First and second clamps of the core frame contain receiving cut-out portions for the tabbed leg plates. The core clamp cut-out portions and leg plate tabs form an interlocking connection. A first section of the first and second clamps, contacting the leg plates at an angle perpendicular to the leg plates provides support to retain the interlocked position between the first and second clamps and corresponding leg plates. Lifting eyebolts are provided in the first core clamps for moving and mounting the transformer at the desired location.

A three-phase stacked triangular transformer core (10) is provided. The transformer has three legs (21, 22, 23) and six yoke parts (31, 32, 33) therebetween, wherein said legs include stacked laminations. In a cross-sectional plane perpendicular to a central transformer core axis (H), the stacked laminations are oriented in substantially radial direction, and each leg (21, 22, 23) has two leg halves (21a, 21b, 22a, 22b, 23a, 23b), wherein each leg half has a plurality of outer corners facing a corresponding leg half of a neighboring leg. For each of the leg halves said plurality of outer corners lie on a respective straight line (P1, P2) within a lateral tolerance ΔΑ, and for each leg half the straight line defined by this leg half and the straight line defined by the corresponding leg half of the neighboring leg are parallel.

The invention is related to a transformer core (30, 50, 80, 100, 110), comprising at least three hollow-cylindrical rectangular shaped core-discs (10, 42, 44, 46, 52, 54, 56, 82, 84, 102, 104, 112) wound from a magnetic band-like material (12, 14, 16), wherein two opposed limb areas (20, 22) and an upper (24) and lower (26) yoke area are formed along a circumferential path (18a, 18b, 18c, 18d). The core-discs (10, 42, 44, 46, 52, 54, 56, 82, 84, 102, 104, 112) comprise one first (60, 64, 90, 94) and at least one second (58, 62, 86) slanted area parallel to the circumferential path (18a, 18b, 18c, 18d) in the belonging limb (20, 22) area. The at least three core-discs (10, 42, 44, 46, 52, 54, 56, 82, 84, 102, 104, 112) are connected according to a polygonal layout (48) at their belonging first slanted areas (60, 64, 90, 94), which are arranged adjacently face to face. Conical shaped polygonal adapter plates (118, 120) fitted to the polygonal layout (48) are foreseen within the upper (114) and lower (116) yoke areas, which are clamped together each to each other.

The object of the invention is an inductive component equipped with a liquid cooling and a method for manufacturing an inductive component. The inductive component comprises at least a core (2) assembled from separate structural elements (8, 8a, 8b), a winding (5), and connection means (7) as well as ducts (9) integrated into the core (2) for the purpose of liquid cooling. Each structural element (8, 8a, 8b) comprises an aperture (9a, 13, 18) made in the manufacturing phase of the structural element (8, 8a, 8b), which aperture extends through the structural element and is a short part of the duct (9) intended for the purpose of liquid cooling.
