Abstract:
A communications system for providing data communication to a vehicle (10), the communications system comprising: a mobile transport layer proxy (150) located on the vehicle;a parent transport layer proxy (170) located remote from the vehicle;the mobile transport layer proxy being configured to: accept a transport layer connection with a host device (32, 33), the transport layer connection being addressed to a remote server (160); and communicate with the parent transport layer proxy via multiple paths using a multipath transport layer protocol to communicate on behalf of the host device whilst identifying as the mobile transport layer proxy; and the parent transport layer proxy being configured to: communicate with the mobile transport layer proxy using the multipath transport layer protocol; and communicate with the remote server whilst identifying as the parent transport layer proxy to communicate on behalf of the mobile transport layer proxy to permit the host device to communicate with the remote server.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a method, performed in a single IP-address source node in a wireless communication network, of establishing a multipath TCP, MPTCP, connection for transfer of TCP datain MPTCP subflows to a destination node. The single IP-address source node receives (S31) an MPTCP trigger to activate a multipath TCP connection. One or more source TCP ports are selected(S32), wherein each source TCP port is selected to constitute a starting point of an MPTCP subflow. One or more MPTCP notifications are sent (S33) to the destination node. Each MPTCP notification includes information on a selected source TCP port. The single IP-address source node receives (34) an acknowledgment of each MPTCP notification from the destination node. The present disclosure also relates to corresponding method performed in a destination node and a wireless device configured for establishing an MPTCP connection.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for communicating with a machine to machine, M2M, device comprising: deriving at a M2M device using generic bootstrapping architecture, GBA, a first key. Sending a second key to the M2M device protected using the first key, wherein the second key is different to the first key. Sending protected data to the M2M device, wherein the protected data is verifiable by the M2M device using the second key.
Abstract:
Method and system for communicating between a managed device and a device manager comprising sending the managed device a message over a first communications channel. Initiating communication between the managed device and the device manager over a second communications channel in response to the message, wherein the first communications channel and the second communications channel are of different types.

Abstract:
Method and system for routing communications traffic between a machine to machine, M2M, device connected to a telecommunications network and having an International Mobile Subscriber Identity, IMSI, and a server, the method comprising assigning an access point name, APN, from a plurality of APNs based on the IMSI of the M2M device. Routing, via the assigned APN, communications traffic between the M2M device and the server, wherein the server is determined based on one or more of: the IMSI, the APN and a characteristic of a communication traffic between the M2M device and the server.
Abstract:
A communication system is disclosed comprising a gateway, a number of base stations, and a mobile device. The gateway holds information mapping address data for each base station to information identifying a respective cell operated by that base station. A base station obtains information identifying a cell operated by a neighbour base station and provides this information to the gateway. The gateway obtains from the information held address data for the neighbour base station based on the information identifying the cell operated by the neighbour base station. The gateway generates and sends a message including address data to the base station. The base station receives the message and establishes a connection with the neighbour base station using the address data.
Abstract:
A system, a method, a device, and a computer program product for transmission of data packets between a user device and a server. A communication link between the user device and the server is established in accordance with a transmission control protocol for transmission of a data packet between the user device and the server. The data packet is transmitted utilizing the transmission control protocol.
