Abstract:
An apparatus (301) for severing a wellbore tubular, which apparatus comprises at least one blade (310) for shearing said wellbore tubular, characterised in that said apparatus further comprises a projection (312) , in use moveable so as to reduce the structural strength of said wellbore tubular in an area where said wellbore tubular is to be severed.
Abstract:
A sheet material cutter has a fixed blade (10) and a movable blade (20) having edge end surfaces (21) perpendicularly crossing the front face of the movable blade. The movable blade (20) slidingly engages the fixed blade (10) to cut off a recording paper. Cutout grooves (25) for forming uncut parts on the recording paper are formed at the edge of the movable blade (20). Slopes (28) or curved surfaces are each formed on the movable blade (20), at a corner as the intersection between the three surfaces that are a surface (26) of the movable blade (20) which surface does not face the fixed blade (10), an edge end surface (21) of the movable blade (20), and an inner peripheral surface (25a) of the cutout grooves (25).
Abstract:
Abstract:
A die cutting system that includes a press (101) and a substantially planar die (60) with a plate and at least one cutting edge protruding from a surface of the plate. The press is manually operated and may be hand-held or supported upon a flat surface, such as a tabletop. A first member (201) of the press receives the substantially planar die, while a second member (301) of the press provides support for a sheet of material from which the die will cut a pattern upon biasing the die against the sheet of material. Manually operated presses and die cutting methods that employ teachings of the invention are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A punching apparatus (1) with a punch (2), provided with a guide part (6), guided in at least one guide element (8), the guide part supporting a punching edge (18) near a first end, leading in the direction of movement of the punch, and a manufacturing apparatus for products, comprising a multiple tool part for simultaneously forming, at least processing, a series of products, punches being arranged with respect to each other such that the position of foil elements cut out during use corresponds to the position in which they are to be placed on or in the tool part.
Abstract:
A cutting device (50) is described having a base (52) with an opening with cutting edges, and a flap (60) articulated with respect to the base (52), the flap having a shape corresponding to the opening and cutting edges corresponding to the cutting edges of the opening. The cutting device (50) is preferably provided as part of a kit for preparing and delivering hemostatic material to a patient.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to shearing apparatus, and method of operating the same. The apparatus (10) may include a plurality of spring clamping members (81-88) positioned longitudinally along a first die shoe (502), the clamping members (81-88) positioned in raised stepped sequence from a centerline (800) perpendicular to longitudinal sides of the die shoe (502) to sequentially contact with the sheet material (40). The shearing apparatus (10) may include a die assembly (500) having linear bearings (27) and guide rails (26) for guiding movement of the die shoe (502), and gas springs (28) which return the die shoe (502) to the open position. The shearing apparatus (10) provides straight cuts with a maximum cut-edge tolerance of 0.0015 inch. The shearing apparatus (10) may include a second die shoe (504) having an angled blade (50) to allow a higher shear to break ratio.
Abstract:
A device for manufacturing tire sectors interconnected in the area of the tire cap from used tires has a framework (1) that bears a support (2) for the tires (3). The support has at least two stays (31) for supporting the tire flanks (9) during cutting located in the working position of the tire (3) next to the tire flanks (9). Cuts are made by at least one cutting knife (5) linked to a drive (14) that moves it along guides (4). If required, punching dies (6) may be provided to punch holes into the tire flanks (9).
