A self-gripping metal sheet may be used on both sides of the roofing panels to form a panel that is strong, structurally robust, and able to span between relatively widely spaced roof rafters with little or no mid-span support. Interlocking features along the edges of the panels interlock adjacent panels together to form a strong monolithic roof covering for a roof.

The gas phase can reduce a density of the carcass by at least 5% or 10%, or about 15%, as compared to a density of the polymer matrix. The carcass can have a generally uniform distribution of gas bubbles in the polymer matrix, which can define a generally closed cell structure in the polymer matrix. The gas phase can be formed of particles of a syntactic foam dispersed in the polymer matrix. The handrail can further include a cover. The carcass and the cover can be formed of thermoplastic materials, and the cover can represent between 10 and 30% of the overall TPU required for the handrail.

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines tiefziehfähigen Schaumfolienlaminats mit mindestens einer eine Lackschicht aufweisenden kompakten Dekorschicht und mindestens einer mit der Dekorschicht verbundenen Schaumschicht aus extrudiertem geschäumten Kunststoff, wobei die Herstellung der Schaumschicht derartig erfolgt, dass der Kunststoff in Gegenwart eines festen chemischen, inerten flüssigen und/oder inerten gasförmigen Treibmittels extrudiert wird, die gebildete Schaumschicht mit der lackierten Dekorschicht versehen wird, gegebenenfalls mit der unlackierten kompakten Dekorschicht im Rahmen einer Co-Extrusion, wobei vor oder nach dem Ausbilden der lackierten kompakten Dekorschicht auf der Schaumschicht eine vernetzende Behandlung mit Elektronenstrahlen durchgeführt wird. Dieses Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der zur Extrusion herangezogene Kunststoff eine Mischung aus LLDPE, aus LDPE und aus einer PP/EPR-Mischung einer Dichte von 0,850 bis 0,925, insbesondere 0,860 bis 0,890 g/cm3 enthält. Die Erfindung ist zudem auch gerichtet auf eine Kunststoffmischung, die zur Herstellung des Schaumfolienlaminats nach obigem Verfahren herangezogen wird, des Weiteren die auf die besonderen Möglichkeiten der Verwendung dieses Schaumfolienlaminats.

Dabei wird das Rohr mit einem wenigstens dreischichtigen materialeinheitlichen Aufbau aus einer Rohrinnenwand (4), einer geschäumten Zwischenschicht (7) und einer Rohraußenwand (5) ausgerüstet. Erfindungsgemäß wird die Zwischenschicht (7) durch die kombinierte Wirkung zumindest eines chemischen Treibmittels und eines physikalischen Treibmittels aufgeschäumt.
