Abstract:
The embodiments described herein are directed to setup of a transport refrigeration system and providing transport refrigeration system diagnostic information to a user. In particular, interfaces on a wireless end node and a network coordinator of a wireless communication system are configured to provide setup and diagnostic functionality of the wireless communication system to a user with limited expertise in wireless communication systems.
Abstract:
A mobile environment-controlled unit, such as an over-the-road compartment trailer, having an environmental-control system, such as a refrigeration unit, powered by an alternator and having a high-voltage alternating current (AC) bus. The unit incorporates a high resistance ground scheme and can incorporate a solid-state input module to detect phase-chassis faults. This combination provides an improvement in protection for mobile applications that cannot have a voltage reference (or neutral point) solidly connected to earth ground.
Abstract:
A method of charging batteries in a vehicle electrical system having a system bus, a first switch selectively connecting a first battery with the system bus, a second switch selectively connecting a second battery with the system bus, and a controller monitoring a voltage of the vehicle electrical system and contra llab Iy opening and closing the first switch and the second switch. The method includes closing the first switch and opening the first switch if the voltage of the vehicle electrical system traverses a threshold value. The method also includes closing the second switch and opening the second switch if the voltage of the vehicle electrical system traverses the threshold value.
Abstract:
A temperature-controlled vehicle includes a driving portion including an engine powering the vehicle for movement. The temperature-controlled vehicle further includes a cargo portion including a load space, a heat exchanger in communication with the load space, a cryogen refrigeration circuit in communication with the heat exchanger, a fossil fuel heater selectively providing heat to the load space, a control system interactively coupled with the cryogen refrigeration circuit and the fossil fuel heater to control the temperature within the load space, and an electrical power supply disposed on the cargo portion and coupled to the fossil fuel heater and the control system to selectively provide electrical power thereto.
Abstract:
A container (10) for transporting a load in conditioned space air (14), where the container includes a number of walls (16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26) defining a closed conditioned space with an ambient air intake opening (54) and a conditioned space air exhaust opening (56) provided on one of the container walls; a temperature control system (28) for controlling the temperature of the conditioned space air; an ambient air exchange system (12) having a door (74) movable relative to the exhaust and intake openings to thereby change the rate that conditioned space air is exchanged with ambient air, and a motor (62) for repositioning the ambient air exchange door. The container also including a container controller (30) in signal transmitting relation with the air exchange door repositioning motor. The controller sends signals to the repositioning motor to move the ambient air exchanged door to a position which produces the required ambient air exchange rate to preserve the load.
