Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von innen- und/oder aussenprofilierten Ringen (6), insbesondere von Wälzlagerringen und Getrieberingen in komplett schleiffertigem Zustand aus Rohr- oder Vollmaterial (1), bei dem spanende Verfahren wie Drehen und umformende Verfahren wie Radial-Axial-Profilrohrwalzen und/oder Walzeinstechen in Folge und/oder parallel miteinander kombiniert werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass während dem Walzen des Profiles eine Gegenkraft bezüglich der Fliessrichtung des Rohrmaterials (1) erzeugt wird, womit der Werkstofffluss in axialer und/oder radialer Richtung so steuerbar ist, das der ausweichende Werkstoff in die Ausbildung des Profiles einbezogen wird. Mit der Erfindung wird eine Fertigungsmöglichkeit für z. B. Synchron-Getrieberinge und Schaltmuffen durch die Verfahrenskombination Radial-Axial-Profilrohrwalzen - Drehen angegeben, welche die bisher nicht in jedem Fall mögliche Erzielung der notwendigen Genauigkeitsanforderungen garantiert. Durch Einsatz des Radial-Axial-Profilrohrwalzens ergeben sich Fertigungsmöglichkeiten für die Herstellung eines weitaus grösseres Teilespektrums als mit den bisher bekannten Verfahren bzw. Lösungen. Für die maschinentechnische Umsetzung des Verfahrens ist eine Anordnung beschrieben.

The invention relates to plastic metal working, in particular to the working of multi-phase alloys based on nickel, titanium and iron used for manufacturing parts like discs, rings, drums with bottom and flange, conical, hemispherical, axially symmetric and asymmetric parts, for example a propeller blade with an extended surface. The inventive method comprises a local formation of the initial semimanufactured article having an inner structure conditioned for deformation. The local formation is performed in controlled thermomechanical conditions. The deformation is carried out at optimal temperatures and rates and the forces applied are optimal for the selected metal which is conditioned for superplastic deformation. The formation is carried out on a rotatable or otherwise moving mandrel or in a matrix. One surface of the initial semimanufactured article is formed by the mandrel or by the surface of the matrix used for impression, whereas the other surface is formed by a locally deforming tool. The process control is performed during the formation process by changing parameters related to mandrel displacement, processing speed, applied force and the manner of displacement of the locally deforming tool and also by parameters and controlled structural modifications of the deformed material.

The method incorporates unique tooling for providing the pattern, preferably comprising a plurality of segments (10) which fit together to define a ring, the inner surface of which presents the desired mixed pattern toward the center of the ring. Unique drum tooling (40) locks the segments in place and provides the structural integrity required for the final drum rolling operation. A cylinder (50), for example an aluminum or aluminum alloy cylinder, is placed in the drum, the cylinder being performed and presized to fit concentrically within the segment defining ring. Following heating of the assembly to forming temperature, the cylinder is radially expanded by mechanical or thermal processes, and the assembly is then placed over a mandrel (100). Drum rolling then forms the mixed pattern.
