Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention described herein provide systems and methods for bleaching textiles that are more reliable and reproducible. This disclosure provides for process control that allows a particular dosage rate or concentration of ozone to be held throughout the process. This disclosure also provides a hybrid washing machine that includes a blowing system for recirculating ozonated air during the bleaching process. The hybrid washing machine may incorporate features of a sealed vessel, a washing machine, and the air circulation volume typically associated with commercial dryers.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method for decolorizing a dyed denim fabric through a dry ozone process to obtain an aesthetically pleasing decolorized look or fashionably faded look in the denim fabric. The method comprises three dry ozone treatment processes used alone or in combination thereof. The first dry ozone treatment process includes wetting a denim textile product with water and oxidizing it with ozone. The second dry ozone treatment process includes spraying water to desired areas of the textile product and oxidizing it with ozone. The third dry ozone treatment process includes loading the denim textile product and wetted cotton fabric scraps into a drum, and oxidizing them with ozone.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a stabilizing composition comprising following components (A) a polymer having following formula (I) wherein R 1 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group containing 1 to 12 carbon atoms, R 2 is -COOM or -CH 2 COOM, M is a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal ion, an alkaline earth metal ion, an ammonium ion or a mixture thereof, n, m and k are molar ratios of corresponding monomers, wherein n is 0 to 0.95, m is 0.05 to 0.9, and k is 0 to 0.8, and (n+m+k) equals1, and the weight average molecular weight is between 500 and 20,000,000 g/mol, (B) a chelating agent, (C) a poly-alpha-hydroxyacrylic acid or an alkaline salt thereof or the corresponding polylactone thereof, and (D) optionally a polycarboxylic acid polymer or an alkaline salt thereof. The invention also relates to a process for the treatment of a fibre material.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for the treatment of a fibre material comprising the step of contacting the fibre material in an aqueous medium with a chelating agent and a polymer having general formula (I) wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group containing 1 to 12 carbon atoms; R2 is -COOM or -CH2COOM; M is a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal ion, an alkaline earth metal ion, an ammonium ion or a mixture thereof; n, m and k are molar ratios of corresponding monomers, wherein n is 0 to 0.95, m is 0.05 to 0.9, and k is 0 to 0.8, and (n+m+k) equals 1, and the weight average molecular weight is between 500 and 20,000,000 g/mol. The invention also relates to a composition comprising a chelating agent and the above polymer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods for enzymatic decolorization (bleaching) and dyeing, preferably overdyeing, of a textile material in a single bath process in which the decolorization and dyeing processes are performed in the same aqueous bath. The figure is a graph which compares the color generation of two different methods, the all-in method and the sequential method, each method being shown using laccase alone and using laccase/methyl syringate.
