Abstract:
Novel laccase mediators, including carboxyamido and cyano derivatives of 2, 6-dimethoxyphenol that exhibit improved hydrolytic stability and good bleaching performance. The novel laccase enzymes may be employed in conjunction with the 2,6-dimethoxyphenol derivatives of this invention to provide an improved method for bleaching denim fabrics.
Abstract:
A process for removing dye and improving hand in cellulosic textiles utilizing a mercerizing ozone bath. The process also prevents redeposit of dye which is residual in a dyeing process. The time and temperature of the process is dependent upon the type of dye and the temperature the process is run. The process can be used in vat dyeing, jet dyeing, package dyeing and the like to obtain different shades of color while improving the hand and luster of the textile.
Abstract:
A device suitable for decoloring textile products by using ozone. With this device, adjustment of water content of textile products and adjustment of decolorization rate by control of ozone concentration are possible, and uniform decolorization is possible. A textile product decolorizing device comprises a closed vessel (1), a drum (2) rotating in this closed vessel, an ozonizer (41) connected to the closed vessel (1) through an automatic valve (42), a water supply device (58), and a blower (34) equipped with an air heater (31) for feeding hot air and cold air into the closed vessel (1). The ozone concentration in the closed vessel is measure with an ozone concentration meter (43) and the ozonizer (41) is controlled, thereby retaining a desired concentration.
Abstract:
A method of processing an indigo-dyed fabric which can impart in a relatively short period a vintage color which is equal to that of indigo-dyed fabrics having been actually stored or used over long and which is less apt to come out upon laundering, etc. and an indigo-dyed fabric to which such vintage color has been imparted. The method is characterized by applying a nitrogenous oxidizing agent to an indigo-dyed fabric and then heating the fabric.
Abstract:
A recyling process for liquid treatment of denim scrap comprising placing denim scrap on a support surface (50) to form a thickness of flat, layered denim scrap (7). To the top surface is applied a compression plat (56) to form the thickness of denim scrap into a compact cake (54). Then treatment liquid is passed through the interior of the compact cake (54) in a direction parallel to the surfaces of the scrap, the liquid passing between opposed surfaces of the denim pieces. The treatment liquid can be a solvent for oxidized indigo dye; an aqueous solution containing a desizing agent; an aquueous solution containing a reducing agent for indigo dye; a solution containing desizing and reducing agent; an aqueous solution containing a reducing agent for indigo dye; or a sequences of these liquids.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to a method for increasing the color of a dyed textile material comprising the steps of: a) pretreating the textile material with at least one nitrate salt and an acid catalyst, b) drying the pretreated fabric in a dryer at temperatures less than 60 °C, c) applying a leaser beam to the fabric to promote the chemical reaction to generate NO x compounds which attach the dye, and d) creating a color value change.
Abstract:
A method for decolorizing a dyed denim fabric through a dry ozone process obtains an aesthetically pleasing decolorized look or fashionably faded look in the denim fabric. The method comprises three dry ozone treatment processes used alone or in combination thereof. The first dry ozone treatment process includes wetting a denim textile product with water and oxidizing it with ozone. The second dry ozone treatment process includes spraying water to desired areas of the textile product and oxidizing it with ozone. The third dry ozone treatment process includes loading the denim textile product and wetted cotton fabric scraps into a drum, and oxidizing them with ozone.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to isolated nucleic acid fragments containing a sequence encoding a Rhizoctonia solani laccase having optimum activity at a neutral or basic pH, and the laccase proteins encoded thereby.
