A cutting device (1) for cutting leaves from flowers of plants has a rotating drum (7) into which the flowers to be treated can be placed. The drum (7) has two spaced rings (9) and (11) between which a number of elongate wall elements (13) extend. During operation, the leaves to be cut protrude through the openings (17) between the wall elements and are cut off there by revolving knives (21). Tensioning means (29) are integrated in the drum (7) for keeping the wall elements (13) taut. The tensioning means (29) have an elongated tensioning element (31) that at one end is connected to one of the rings (9) and at the other end is connected to the other ring (11). The tensioning means (29) can move the rings away from each other and thereby bring the wall elements (13) under tension.

A packaging line station having a frame, a die assembly, a drive motor, and an anvil roller. The frame has a base with two vertical stanchions extending upwardly from sides thereof and a top cross-member affixed across the stanchions. The die assembly includes a yoke affixed to the cross-member, a die wheel rotatably affixed to side arms of the yoke, a drive shaft affixed to the die wheel and a cutting die affixed to the die wheel. The drive motor is connected to the drive shaft. The drive shaft and the anvil roller extend between the stanchions. The cutting die and the anvil roller and spaced apart by a nip for receiving a traveling web. As the web passes through the nip the web is cut by blades of the rotating die to form a slit. An adhesive resealable tape or label is then applied over the slit.

There is presented a cutting apparatus for cutting a food object, said apparatus comprising at least one cutting blade, an actuator arranged for moving the cutting blade before and during cutting, and an element comprising a receiving section arranged for receiving and abutting the cutting blade, such as at a point in time prior to cutting, and a supporting section arranged for supporting a food object before and during cutting, wherein during cutting the supporting section is arranged for being displaced, such as displaced by elastic deformation, by the cutting blade with respect to a position of the supporting section prior to cutting, wherein during moving of the cutting blade, the cutting blade is arranged for displacing the supporting section subsequent to the cutting blade abutting the receiving section, wherein the cutting blade and the element are arranged for being continuously in contact with each other from a point of contact is made between the cutting blade and the receiving section prior to cutting, and at least until a point in time during cutting.

A food processing apparatus (10) for the cutting of foodstuff has a guide arrangement (11). A primary cutter (12) is located at an open first end (13) of the guide arrangement (11). A secondary cutter (14) is located at or about a second end (15) of the guide arrangement (11) distal the first end (13). The guide arrangement (11) guides foodstuff cut by the primary cutter (12) towards and into contact with the secondary cutter (14) for further cutting and/or processing by the secondary cutter (14).

Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Verfahren und eine Einrichtung zur Herstellung eines Klebebandes (1). Dabei wird zunächst eine Materialbahn (2) aus einem Trägerbandmaterial von einer Abwickeleinheit (3) zugeführt. Die zugeführte Materialbahn (2) wird anschließend an zumindest einer Oberfläche in einer Beschichtungseinheit (6) mit wenigstens einem Klebstoffstreifen (4) ausgerüstet. Die mit dem Klebstoffstreifen (4) ausgerüstete Materialbahn (2) wird nachfolgend mithilfe einer Schneideinrichtung (10) in zumindest zwei Längsstreifen geschnitten und zu einzelnen Klebebändern (1) konfektioniert. Erfindungsgemäß wird die Materialbahn (2) und/oder die Schneideinrichtung (10) mithilfe eines die Materialbahn abtastenden Sensors (8, 9) in Querrichtung (Q) so ausgerichtet, dass ein jeweils mithilfe der Schneideinrichtung (10) erzeugter Längsschnitt (S) positionsgenau in die Materialbahn (2) eingebracht wird.

A rotary cutting device includes a body having a cutter blade with a cutting edge and a pressure roller mounted relative to the cutter blade. The cutter blade is configured to rotate about a rotational axis. The pressure roller is rotationally fixed. The cutter blade and the pressure roller are positioned relative to each other such that pressure is applied to a material fed therebetween. As the cutter blade rotates relative to the pressure roller, the pressure applied to the material being fed therebetween allows for a width of material to cut by a cutting edge of rotating cutter blade. An embossing roller may be used in place of the cutter blade to emboss material. The device also includes guide for guiding material into the machine, pressure adjustment for pressure applied to the material, and rotational speed control. A method for using the rotary cutting device is also disclosed.

The transport device for an ultrasonic cutting machine (1) having a roller sonotrode (15) and a rotable cutter wheel (1) comprises at least one drivable transport wheel (23) arranged next to the rotatable cutter wheel (11). The transport wheel comprises an elastic spring element (27) in the shape of a peripherally arranged O-ring or a silicone ring formed close to the axis. The transport wheel (23) cooperates with the roller sonotrode (15) or with a support wheel in a roller-like manner. It permits a controlled advance of the sheet formation (21) during the cutting. The cut edges on the sheet formations (21) may be sealed in an uniform manner.
