    摘要: A system for reducing power loss in a switched-capacitor converter includes a first and second switched capacitor sub-converter each having a flying capacitor and a first, second, third, and fourth switching device. Each switching device is controlled by one of a first, second, third, and fourth clock signal. The first, second, third and fourth clock signals of the second switched capacitor sub-converter are inverted such that the first switched capacitor sub-converter operates during a first phase and the second switched capacitor converter operates during a second phase that is 1800 degrees out of phase from the first phase. The system also includes a resonant charge sharing portion for coupling a bottom-plate parasitic capacitance of the first switched capacitor sub-converter to a bottom-plate parasitic capacitance of the second switched capacitor converter.

    摘要: A system for providing monitoring of radiation therapy from a source of pulsed high energy radiation disposed to provide a radiation beam to a treatment zone; a camera for imaging Cherenkov light from the treatment zone; apparatus for preventing interference by room lighting by synchronizing the camera to pulses of the radiation beam; and an image processor adapted to determine extent overlap of the beam area from the images. Additionally an image processor adopted to determine cumulative skin dose in the treatment zone from the images. In a particular embodiment, the processor uses a three-dimensional model of a subject to determine a mapping of image intensity in the images of Cherenkov light to radiation intensity in skin of the subject, to apply the mapping to the images of Cherenkov light to verify skin dose delivered, and to accumulate skin dose by summing the maps of skin dose.

    摘要: A hearing prosthetic has microphones configured to receive audio with signal processing circuitry for reducing noise; apparatus configured to receive a signal derived from a neural interface, and to determine an interest signal when the user is interested in processed audio; and a transducer for providing processed audio to a user. The signal processing circuitry is controlled by the interest signal. In particular embodiments, the neural interface is electroencephalographic electrodes processed to detect a P300 interest signal, in other embodiments the interest signal is derived from a sensorimotor rhythm signal. In embodiments, the signal processing circuitry reduces noise by receiving sound from along a direction of focus, while rejecting sound from other directions; the direction of focus being set according to timing of the interest signal. In other embodiments, a sensorimotor rhythm signal is determined and binned, with direction of audio focus set according to amplitude.

    摘要: A magnetic susceptibility tomographic device has sensitive magnetic sensors about a measurement volume and AC bias coils for providing magnetic fields within the volume. Sensing circuitry reads the sensors, and a processor executes magnetic susceptibility tomography (MST) routines from memory to divide the measurement volume into voxels, to determine differences between applied and measured field strengths of magnetic fields at each voxel and thereby determines magnetic susceptibility of each voxel, and to construct tomographic images representative of magnetic susceptibility as MST images. Embodiments with SQUID and fluxgate sensors are described. Applications to direct measurement of tissue magnetic susceptibility, and to locating and quantifying tagged magnetic nanoparticles are disclosed, including antibody- tagged nanoparticles for use in cancer diagnosis and treatments, and the retrieval of taggant identification codes from an object.
