Abstract:
A payment terminal, including: a display, an input device configured to generate input signals indicative of a user input, a payment instrument reader configured to receive payment instrument data from a financial payment instrument, a secure processor connected to the payment instrument reader, a main processor connected to the display, the main processor separate and distinct from the secure processor, a secure input processor connected to the input device and the secure processor, wherein the secure processor is operable between an unsecured mode, wherein the secure processor sends input coordinates based on the input signals received from the secure input processor to the main processor; and a secured mode, wherein the secure input processor ceases input coordinate forwarding to the main processor.
Abstract:
A system for processing payment of regulated goods includes a computer-based manager configured with databases for storing data relative to a user's eligibility to purchase regulated goods, data relative to vendor inventory of regulated goods, data relative to vouchers requested by such user. Such system further includes a remote system in communication with the manager through which a user may request a voucher and pay for the regulated goods after which a voucher is generated by the remote system. A vendor system verifies the validity of the generated voucher and provides inventory data to the manager upon dispensing of the regulated goods to the verified user.
Abstract:
A method and a system for implementing an electronic payment using a mobile terminal are disclosed. In the method, the mobile terminal exchanges payment information with an access terminal through a wireless connection, and a platform apparatus confirms a payment completion status. A user and a merchant do not need to exchange passwords, thus ensuring the security of a transaction, and a fast payment system is established, which maximizes the utilization of existing resources of the user. In addition, a linked device may further be used to implement functions as printing a transaction receipt or voucher after an electronic payment is completed to allow both the user and the merchant to possess data and records associated with the transaction, thereby ensuring the truthfulness, validity and legality of the transaction.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for facilitating the automatic transmission of an electronic receipt to a user conducting a financial transaction at a computing device. The systems and methods described herein enable a series of operations whereby a user can conduct a transaction at a computing device and the computing device can automatically read user-account information and one or more electronic contact addresses which are stored in the memory of the user's personal transaction device. The system can also process the transaction and automatically transmit an electronic receipt to the electronic contact address providing an automated transaction experience that does not require the user to actively input an electronic contact address into the computing device in order to have the receipt transmitted electronically. In addition, the system thereby facilitates private transaction as opposed the unsecured and time-consuming process of manually entering a contact address.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer program products are disclosed and include: initiating a capture operation using an image capture component of the mobile device, the capture operation comprising; capturing video data; and estimating a plurality of motion vectors corresponding to motion of the image capture component during the capture operation. The systems, techniques, and computer program products also include detecting a document depicted in the video data; tracking a position of the detected document throughout the video data; selecting a plurality of images using the image capture component of the mobile device, wherein the selection is based at least in part on: the tracked position of the detected document; and the estimated motion vectors; and generating a composite image based on at least some of the selected plurality of images.
Abstract:
A technique is disclosed for generating an interactive digital receipt on a user device, where the receipt offers an engagement platform for merchants and customers to interact on a continuous basis. The interactive digital receipt is generated in response to an occurrence of a particular financial transaction. The receipt includes a plurality of time-based interactive components to enable the merchant and the customer to interact with one another. In one embodiment, the time-based interactive components include a gratuity component to allow adding of a gratuity amount after the occurrence of the transaction. The gratuity component is associated with a time frame that defines a time period for which the customer may submit the gratuity amount. The time period can range from a limited time period to an unlimited time period.
Abstract:
When a consumer makes a purchase at a POS using a payment provider, the payment provider provides, to the merchant, a consumer identification (ID) and an authorization number, along with the payment approval. After receiving the information from the payment provider, the POS device sends a generated digital or electronic receipt to an email address of the payment provider. The email contains information about the payer and the authorization. Upon receipt, the payment provider may upload the electronic receipt into the consumer's mobile wallet or account using the payer ID and authorization number. As a result, the consumer can easily locate and access a receipt on the consumer's mobile device, such as by accessing the user's mobile wallet or the user's payment provider account on the mobile device, e.g., through a mobile app.
Abstract:
A data transmission system includes first software running on a first physical digital medium ported to a point of sale (POS) computing appliance wherein the first software provides the capability of emulating at least one physical printer connected to the POS computing appliance, and second software running on a second physical digital medium accessible to a mobile computing appliance wherein the second software provides the capabilities of managing receipt of a record from the first physical digital medium via a wireless communication protocol and of independent processing of data contained within the record.
