Abstract: Eine Vorrichtung (100) zum kontinuierlichen Herstellen von Formkörpern (K1-K7) mittels eines additiven Fertigungsverfahrens bereit. Die Vorrichtung (100) umfasst einen Verarbeitungsbereich (2) sowie eine Trenneinrichtung (3). Der Verarbeitungsbereich (2) ist zur Aufnahme eines Pulvers ausgestaltet, wobei in dem Verarbeitungsbereich (2) mittels des additiven Fertigungsverfahrens eine schichtweise Verarbeitung zumindest eines Teils des Pulvers zu Formkörpern (K1-K7) durchführbar ist. Die Trenneinrichtung (3) umfasst mindestens ein Trennelement (31a, 32a), welches in den Verarbeitungsbereich (2) derart einbringbar oder eingebracht ist, dass Kammern (21, 22) in dem Verarbeitungsbereich (2) ausgebildet werden. Die Trenneinrichtung (3) weist einen Antrieb (33) auf, welcher dazu ausgebildet ist, das mindestens eine Trennelement (31a, 32a) derart zu bewegen, dass die Kammern (21, 22) während der schichtweisen Verarbeitung in senkrechter Richtung von einem Bearbeitungsabschnitt (B1) des Verarbeitungsbereichs (2) zu einem Entnahmeabschnitt (B2) des Verarbeitungsbereichs (2) abgesenkt werden. Weiter bewegt der Antrieb (33) das mindestens eine Trennelement (31a, 32a) derart, dass das mindestens eine Trennelement (31a, 32a) im Entnahmeabschnitt (B2) des Verarbeitungsbereichs zumindest teilweise derart aus dem Verarbeitungsbereich (2) ausgebracht wird, dass eine untere der Kammern (21, 22) freigelegt wird, sodass die hergestellten Formkörper (K1-K7) aus dem Verarbeitungsbereich (2) fallen oder gleiten.

Abstract: Systems and methods in which a material or materials (e.g., a viscous material) are printed or otherwise transferred onto an intermediate substrate at a printing unit(s). The intermediate substrate having an image of material printed thereon is subsequently transferred to a sample building unit, and the image of material is transferred from the intermediate substrate to a sample at the sample building unit. Optionally, the printing unit(s) includes a coating system that creates a uniform layer of the material on a donor substrate, and the material is transferred from the donor substrate onto the intermediate substrate at the printing unit(s). Each of the printing units may employ a variety of printing or other transfer technologies. The system may also include material curing, heating, sintering, ablating, material filling, imaging and cleaning units to aid in the overall process.

Abstract: A method of repairing a component using an additive manufacturing process is presented. The method includes submerging the component into a powder bed so that a portion of the component to be repaired is level with a surface of the powder bed and a protruding portion of the component protrudes above the surface of the powder bed, positioning a split wiper that includes a first wiper segment and a second wiper segment in the powder bed at the surface, advancing a quantity of powder by translating the first wiper segment and the second wiper segment across the surface of the powder bed, and directing a laser beam across the surface to fuse powder particles of the powder bed to the underlying substrate forming a layer of the component. Each of the first wiper segment and the second wiper segment follow a different contour of the protruding portion at the surface.
