A load supporting corner bracket comprises a square corner bracket grid platform (8). At each of the four bottom corners of the square corner bracket grid platform (8), there respectively stands a housing-type corner bracket pier (1) which is taper-shaped. At any upper corner of the square corner bracket grid platform (8), there stands a corner protector (3) for the corner bracket. The minimum distance between the inner wall of the housing-type corner bracket pier (1) adjacent to the corner bracket corner protector (3) and the inside of the corner bracket corner protector (3) is not less than that between the outer wall of the housing-type corner bracket pier (1) and the outside of the square corner bracket grid platform (8). A load supporting seat frame comprises a corner bracket pedestal (7) and a load supporting corner bracket. A combined load supporting corner bracket comprises four load supporting corner brackets arranged in a two-by-two array. The corner bracket corner protectors (3) of the four load supporting corner brackets are located on the periphery of the load supporting base composed of the four load supporting corner brackets. A combined load supporting seat frame comprises a corner bracket pedestal (7) and four load supporting corner brackets. A paper ramp (10) for use in unloading a wheeled or castered product A from a pallet or shipping base B is provided. The ramp (10) is wedge shaped and comprises a folded bottom member (12) affixed to a pre-formed top member (14) having integrally formed guide rails (70). The bottom member (12) has closure flaps (22, 24) that fold together in interlocking fashion inside the wedged shaped ramp (10) to support and stabilize the load bearing top surface (68) of the ramp (10).

A rectangular pallet that is symmetrical about its two major axes. The pallet comprises a first plastics shell and a second plastics shell. The first plastics shell is formed with a flat rim, nine or more ground engaging feet subtending below the level of the rim, the feet being arranged in respective parallel spaced apart beams extending from front to back. The first plastics shell also has plural channels running from side to side intersecting the beams running from front to back to define the feet. The second plastics shell is essentially flat and formed with a flat rim. An internal network of partitions extends between the first and second plastics shells. The rims of the first and second plastics shells are sealed to each other to form a clam and to enclose the network of partitions within the clam. In other aspects, the invention concerns a method and a system for forming the pallet.

A bulk bag transport apparatus employs a receptacle that is divided into a plurality of bulk bag holding sectors. The receptacle provides a base that is constructed of a plurality of beams such as eye beams including peripheral beams and transverse beams. Each side wall is reinforced with a plurality of inclined beams that preferably join to the transverse bottom beams, one inclined beam attaching to a transverse bottom beam. A plurality of other beams are attached to the upper edge of the receptacle and each inclined beam is structurally joined to a peripheral beam. Lifting eyes are provided along each side of the receptacle, each lifting eye performs an acute angle with an inclined beam and is preferably mounted to an inclined beam. A lifting harness includes slings that can be connected to the lifting eyes. Each side wall has an horizontal flange or a member that enables one of the receptacles to be stacked upon the other of the receptacles wherein the upper peripheral beam of one receptacle engages and supports the horizontal flange or member of another receptacle.

There is disclosed a knockdown pallet system (10) typically of cardboard or plastic, for forming a pallet (12). The system includes a first pallet sheet (14) with primary flaps (20) joined at crease lines, and foldable to extend perpendicularly. A second pallet sheet (16) has apertures (30) for releasably locating the primary flaps so that the these flaps space the sheets apart in a parallel relationship. One of the sheets serves as a base for the pallet while the other is for supporting a load. Some of the flaps of one of the sheets have locking flaps (38) which are foldable to extend through complementary apertures (44) in adjacent flaps of the other sheet, to lock the sheets together. The invention also includes foldable support sheets (80) for forming reinforcement structures, and a foldable pallet bin sheet (96) for forming a pallet bin with flaps for locking onto the pallet.

An apparatus for acquiring an image of a pallet load comprises operating a linescan camera arranged for movement in a movement plane to acquire the image. A method of acquiring an image of a pallet load is also provided.
