The processor is configured to access a first representation of the network and associated link weight measures w in the memory. Moreover, the system is configured to provide node values for the nodes and determine from the node values corresponding slope measures for links existing between the nodes, the slope measures being computed from a function of differences in node values and from the weight measures w for the links, the weight measures w being used for scaling the function of differences in nodes values; to select for at least some of the nodes one or more steepest ascent links having one or more greatest positive slope measures; and to generate a second representation corresponding to a steepest ascent graph of the network derived from information included in the steepest ascent links. The second representation is beneficially used for one or more of: (a) acting upon and/or modifying the selected nodes and/or links so as to improve network performance; and (b) presenting in a display the selected nodes and/or links for informing and supporting human intervention in the network's operation.

The invention relates to a method and a system for performing an e-commerce transaction between a user and a provider for a service or product by using a wireless communication terminal comprising a contactless reader. The method comprises the step of receiving a transaction request from the communication terminal, the transaction request being initiated by the contactless reader reading primary information about the service or product from an information tag. The transaction request contains also user information retrieved from the secure element. Next, a speech based dialog is initiated with the user through the communication terminal based on the transaction request, resulting in secondary information about the service or product. Next, a transaction is initiated, based on the primary and secondary information. Finally, a confirmation message may be sent to the communication terminal or to the provider.

A method and a system for establishing communication between an object (200), a user device (100) and a service device (300). The method comprises the steps of transmitting a communication request signal to an object identifier (210) associated with said object (200); and receiving a response signal from said object identifier (210). The response signal includes an identification of said object (200) and information describing a communication capability of said object (200). Further in the method, the communication between the object (200) and the user device (100) is established using this communication capability. Further in the method, a service request signal is transmitted to said service device (300). The service request signal includes information representing an identity of the user device (100) or an identity of the object (200). The service request results in the service device (300) transmitting a service provision signal to the user device (100) or the object (200). The invention results in that user specific or an object specific service provided by the service device (300) is made accessible to the user device (100) or the object (200).

A system and method for a system for establishing communication between a client in a first network and a web service server in a second network, each network being protected by a Network Address Translator and a firewall . The solution includes a client proxy in the first network, a server proxy in the second network, and a Rendezvous server external to both the first and second networks. The client is adapted to establish a connection to the web service server through the Rendezvous server, that subsequently relay a global accessible IP address and port number of the client to the web service server and a global accessible IP address and port number of the web service server to the client, whereupon the client and web service server establish a direct connection there between using said addresses .

A method and system for acquiring information related to a transponder (RFID tag 40) read by a mobile telephone 60 comprising a RFID reader 80, and an identification and authentication module (SIM card 90) . When the RFID reader has read the data from the RFID tag 40, the identifier and the content data is processed and transmitted to a local network for further processing and delivery of supplementary information linked to the RFID tag 40. The SIM card comprises a Wlan transmitter, and transmitting of the identifier is via the WLAN.

A method and arrangement for handover between WLANs is disclosed. By opening the traffic channel (port) while processing the authentification in parallel, the handover delays can be minimized. The traffic channel/access port will first be closed if the authentification process fails.
