Abstract:
The invention relates to a digital printer (706) for printing on separate pages of media (604), the printer including: a support frame; a printhead (602, 603) mounted on the support frame; and, a page binding means (605) for binding the pages of the printed media.
Abstract:
A digital photo album (901) includes a body section (902) connected to a display screen (904). The body (902) houses control circuitry for operating the digital photo album and an internal printer (500) for printing displayed images. The printer (500) has a removable ink/print media cartridge (504) and prints images of equal size to those displayed.
Abstract:
The disclosure describes systems for creating and authenticating printed objects (45, 46) using authentication and copy detection watermarks. For example, one verification system includes a watermark decoder (50) and a verification module (64, 66, 68, 70). The watermark decoder (50) detects a copy detection watermark in a printed object (45, 46) to determine whether the printed object has been reproduced. The verification module (64, 66, 68, 70) processes a message decoded from an authentication watermark on the printed object to authenticate the printed object or bearer of the printed object. The authentication and copy detection watermarks may be implemented as the same or different watermarks. For example, the authentication and copy detection watermarks may be separate watermarks embedded in an image that is printed on the object. The authentication watermark, in some applications, includes an identifier that links the object to a database entry with related information about the object.
Abstract:
A URL page (13) is printed by a computing system. When a reference to a URL address is dragged and dropped upon a print icon (16), the URL page is accessed from the Internet. The URL page is then printed on a printer. When the URL page is accessed and printed, the URL page is not displayed to a user of the computing system. Also, when a reference to the URL address for the URL page is dragged and dropped upon a display apparatus (10) for the computing system, a special icon representing the URL page address is created on the display apparatus. Upon a user performing a function to activate the special icon, the URL page is printed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the transformation of digital print data streams, whereby an input print data stream (2) is read in and analysed by means of a parser (4), to give graphically representable objects (5, 5a) and split up into said graphically representable objects (5, 5a). Said graphically representable objects (5, 5a) are stored in a memory (6) in an object-oriented format and the graphically representable objects (5, 5a), stored in a memory (6) in an object-oriented format, are transformed into a format for the control of an output device (9), preferably a printer. The objects thus transformed are collated into an output print data stream (10) and outputted, whereby graphically representable objects (5, 5a) are stored in the memory (6) in an object-oriented format with at least one dedicated script file (5a) stored with it, which is carried out in cases as defined in the script file (5a).
Abstract:
A method of correcting the position of a printed image on a printable medium, said image being generated by a computer and printed on the printable medium by a printer controlled by the computer, in which the computer executes a print operation to print an image onto a printable medium; obtains co-ordinates which define the actual position of the image printed as well as the co-ordinates of a desired position of the image; and responds to the difference between the required and the actual positions to correct the image which would be generated by the computer in the next execution of the print operation such that it will be printed at the correct position.
Abstract:
Printing data equivalent to one line on a printing sheet of a specified size are sequentially transferred to one of a plurality of memory areas formed by dividing a print image deployed memory. While rolled paper is being fed a distance equivalent to a lateral-direction length (width) of paper of a specified size, such as A4, a printer prints printing data of a plurality of lines stored in each memory area onto the rolled paper, with the printing rotated 90
Abstract:
A printing level setting unit sets printing levels including a printing level for deleting part of printing data and the number of copies to be printed for each printing level, and further sets the part of printing data to be deleted by the font name, font size, and font color. A printing level processing unit performs printing except a deleted sentence of, for example, the preset font name according to the preset contents of printing levels.
Abstract:
A document's reader order list of pages represented in an imposition description file are decoupled from any single imposition. The decoupling mechanism is a software object called a pageset having positions associated with the pages of the document. A pageset may be associated with more than one imposition plan; more than one pageset may be associated with a single imposition plan; or more than one pageset can be associated with more than one imposition plan.
Abstract:
A system (10) and a method for automatically analyzing and reading a barcode present in an electronically stored and transferred file, and/or printed on a printable substrate (24), such as a sheet of paper. Such a barcode can be used to store a large amount of information in a small area. Various uses of the disclosed system and method are possible. For examiner, in order to authenticate and/or identify a document. In addition, such a barcode could be used to transmit information which could be automatically read and analyzed (12). This provides a single solution to the combined problems of data authentication and verification for electronically stored and transferred data, as well as of automatic reading and data analysis of data printed on a printable substrate (24).
