Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electrical high power connection assembly (100), comprising : - a power contact terminal (400), comprising at least a contact portion (401) which is provided with a stop edge (407) and an intermediate portion (402), - a terminal carrier (300), and - a hood (200). The terminal carrier (300) comprises a sleeve-like section (303) with a flexible latch portion (307). In an assembled condition, an end portion of the flexible latch portion (307) engages the stop edge (407) of the power contact terminal (400) to lock the terminal carrier (300) to the power contact terminal (400).
Abstract:
A dual orientation connector having a connector tab with first and second major opposing sides and a plurality of electrical contacts carried by the connector tab. The plurality of contacts includes a first set of external contacts formed at the first major side and a second set of external contacts formed at the second major side. Each individual contact in the first plurality of contacts is electrically connected within the tab or body to a corresponding contact in the second plurality of contacts. In some embodiments contacts in the first and second pluralities of contacts that are directly opposite each other are coupled together. In some other embodiments, contacts in the first and second pluralities of contacts that are in a cater cornered relationship with each other are coupled together. The first plurality of contacts are symmetrically spaced with the second plurality of contacts and the connector tab is shaped to have 180 degree symmetry so that it can be inserted and operatively coupled to a corresponding receptacle connector in either of two insertion orientations.
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an electrical connector that suppresses cross-talk. [Resolution Means] An electrical connector includes a main body 14 and a cover 16, with the main body 14 and the cover 16 demarcating a space housing a cable 3; the main body 14 includes an upper housing 20, a lower housing 22, a wiring substrate 28 arranged between the upper housing 20 and the lower housing 22, and a shield member 30 arranged interposing the upper housing 20 and the lower housing 22; and the wiring substrate 28 includes a contact 24 for electrically connecting to the cable 3, a connection terminal 26 for electrically connecting to a mating connector, and connecting conductor wiring L for electrically connecting the contact 24 and the connection terminal 26.
Abstract:
A backshell (60) for an electrical assembly (50) is provided. The backshell includes a shield termination body (114) having a connector end (116) and a relief end (118). The connector end is configured to join to a cable end (56) of an electrical connector (52). A face (117) of the connector end is oriented at an angle with respect to a face (121) of the relief end. A strain relief (124) is provided having a shield end (128) and a cable clamp end (126). A face (129) of the shield end is oriented at an angle with respect to a face (125) of the cable clamp end. The shield end is rotatably coupled to the relief end of the shield termination body. The shield end of the strain relief is rotatable with respect to the relief end of the shield termination body so that the face of the cable clamp end of the strain relief is positionable at variable angles with respect to the face of the connector end of the shield termination body.
Abstract:
An instrument box (10) and a terminal block (20, 120) including a resin housing (21) and a bus bar (41) are provided. The resin housing (21) has a housing body (22) fixed to a box wall surface (11); and a bus bar housing (32) formed integrally with the housing body (22) and inserted into an insertion hole (12) of the box wall surface (11). The bus bar (41) has a bus bar body (42) inserted into the insertion hole (12) with fitted in the resin housing (21) and housed in the bus bar housing (32); a first terminal connecting portion (43) on one side of the bus bar body (42) to connect with the cable terminal end outside the instrument box (81); and a second terminal connecting portion (44) on another side of the bus bar body (42) to connect with the terminal inside the instrument box (10).
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a combined electrical connector, and in particular such a connector with an external housing (102), a first internal housing (112), in which at least one first electrical contact element is held, a second internal housing (104), in which at least one second electrical contact element is held, it being possible to join the first and the second internal housing (112, 104) in each case to a first and a second mating plug housing in a plugging direction (106) for contacting corresponding mating contact elements. The external housing (102) has a first (126) and a second (108) receptacle to hold the first and second internal housing (112, 104) respectively, and the second receptacle (108) is in such a form that the second internal housing (104) is held movably in the plugging direction (106) in relation to the external housing (102). The present invention is applicable in particular in relation to a so-called interlock circuit in a motor vehicle.
