摘要: A system and apparatus provide for the packaging of electronic components as well as a monitoring system to periodically check and adjust connections between the various electronic components. A multichip module (MCM) (14) may be employed with an interposer (16) and circuit card interface (18) to comprise an electronic assembly. Each of the components in the assembly includes external electrical contacts (42) which provide for the conduction of electrical signals between the components as well as to remotely located systems. The electronics assembly further includes an actuator assembly (20) which is employed to apply a compressive force to the electronic components in a stacked configuration and to periodically measure the resistance over a feedback circuit (96) to determine that there is still a good electrical connection between the contacts. If the measured resistance is above a predetermined level, the compressive force may be increased to improve the electrical connections.

摘要: An elongated electrical cable (30) or flexible circuit board (1500) includes an electrically conductive path (36, 1509) and an insulating body (632) encompassing and electrically isolating the conductive path, the insulating body including an exposed surface (624) having an array of fastener elements (622) extending therefrom, the fastener elements arranged and constructed to engage mating fastener elements associated with a supporting surface (16, 16') to selectively secure the cable or flexible circuit board to the supporting surface. The fastener elements can be loop-engageable fasteners (622) and/or loops (144). Such a cable or flexible circuit board is continuously formed by introducing an electrical insulating material including a thermoplastic resin into a gap (102, 202) formed adjacent a peripheral surface of a rotating mold roll (104), the mold roll defining an array of cavities (134) therein, the insulating material being introduced under pressure and temperature conditions selected to cause the insulating material to at least partially fill the cavities to form fastener element stems (623, 622') integrally with and extending from one broad side (624) of a strip of said insulation material; while introducing conductive wires (678) and/or a conductive path (1409, 1509) formed on or within a substrate (1401, 1501) to the gap so as to cause the insulating material to envelop and electrically isolate the conductive path and/or to cause the conductive path to become an integral part of the strip of insulation material from which the fastener element stems extend.

摘要: The output of known cooling equipment cabinets fitted with air-to-air heat exchangers is not sufficient for hot climates. The proposed cooling system is bipartite, comprising a first set of cooling equipment that provides for closed cooling air circulation inside the cabinet, and a second set of cooling equipment that provides for open cooling air circulation inside the cabinet. For most of the year, cooling of the cabinet can be handled with the first set of cooling equipment, which consists of an air-to-air heat exchanger (100). For the short period of time that the heat exchanger alone connot ensure sufficient cooling of the air inside the cabinet, the second set of cooling equipment will be employed to provide through-flow air circulation. This is achieved by drawing air into the cabinet through a filter (104) and blowing warmed-up air out. Because the period of time when the through-flow equipment needs to be used is short, it is not necessary to encase the equipment and the risk of the filters getting clogged is low, meaning that they need to be replaced less frequently.

摘要: The invention concerns an apparatus support used for example inside a box (18), but preferably having on each of its opposite sides, at least, groove means (27) for being possibly mounted on the side units of a wireway base when said base has such side units. The invention is generally characterised in that with it is associated by way of mechanical fastening element, a plate (25) having at least two projecting columns (31), with on the top part of said columns (31), snap-on means, and it comprises, likewise, correspondingly, snap-on means (33) matching the snap-on means (32) of the plate (25) columns (31), and by which it can be fixed thereto. The invention is particularly useful for fixing an electrical apparatus projecting on a wireway, along said wireway, at some distance therefrom, inside it, or without such a wireway.
