Abstract:
An interactive computer game is described which works in conjunction with a number of physical modules that a user can connect together in different ways to form a coherent physical whole object. The game receives data from the object via a wireless link, the data identifying at least which modules form part of the object and updates game play based on the data received. At some point within the game play, the game presents an objective or goal to the user which the user can only achieve by interacting with the physical object formed from the modules. In an embodiment, this interaction comprises re-arranging the modules or swapping modules to form an object with a different visual appearance, moving all or part of the object and/or interacting with a sensor on a module in the object. The game may receive further data from the object during the user interaction.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method, a system and a computer program comprising processing of at least one object associated to geographic information on a first map template, wherein the at least one object defines a checkpoint (25-28) related to or to be executed in the geographic location.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for enhancing a cognitive ability of a user is disclosed, which may comprise: conducting, via a user interface display of a user computing device, a training session which may comprise: presenting, via the user interface display of the user computing device, a plurality of objects having at least two identifying parameters, at least two of the plurality of objects having the same at least two identifying parameters forming at least one group of objects having the same at least two identifying parameters and at least one of the objects having at least one unique identifying parameter thereby not duplicating the identifying parameters of the at least two objects in the at least one group of objects; and allowing the user, via the user interface display of the user computing device, to select an object as a proposed unique object.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for authenticating user accounts associated with an online game to users of presentation control devices and to enable the presentation control devices to present views of the online game corresponding to the authenticated user accounts.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Example apparatus and methods concern an improved immersive experience for a video gamer that is provided by controlling a game based on the three dimensional location and orientation of a control and display device held by or otherwise associated with the gamer. The location is determined from data comprising a three dimensional position and an orientation of a portion of a player in a three dimensional space associated with a computerized game. The facing and rotation of the device is determined as a function of both the location of the device and the orientation of the device. The orientation may be determined by data from motion sensors in or on the device. Example apparatus and methods control the computerized game based, at least in part, on the position of the device, the facing of the device, and the rotation of the device.
Abstract:
There is provided a computer implemented method of controlling a user interface and displaying a game board arrangement, the method comprising the following implemented by at least one processor in communication with said interface and at least one memory: displaying a subset of a set of game objects, each game object having one or more characteristics, information on said subset of game objects and said game objects being stored in said at least one memory, determining a position and trajectory of movement in dependence on user input via said user interface, executing an algorithm for determining if a particular game object is to be selected or if a different subset of game objects is to be displayed in dependence on the position and trajectory of movement and the stored information on said subset of game objects, updating said subset of game objects and information such that the particular game object is selected or a different subset of game objects is displayed; and displaying said updated subset of objects.
