Abstract:
A shared virtual experience is provided to players of a location-based game. The virtual location of a player in the game is based on the real world location of the player's client device. If a player's location in the game is within an interaction distance of a virtual element, in indication that a shared virtual experience is available may be provided. Player input is received requesting participation in the shared virtual experience and the player is added to a lobby including a specified start time. At the specified time, the shared virtual experience begins and includes interaction with other players who were in the lobby. An update to game data is sent based on an outcome of the shared virtual experience.

본 발명은 자이로드롭장치(Gyro Drop)에 연동된 적어도 하나의 HMD(Head-Mounted Display) 간의 영상 동기화를 통해 각 HMD 상에 가상현실이미지가 표시되도록 제어하되, 가상현실게임의 시나리오와 관련된 다양한 동작을 기반으로 각 HMD를 통한 제어 가능한 영역이 전환되도록 함으로써, 자이로드롭장치의 움직임을 통하여 공간의 제약을 최소화하고, 하나의 가상공간 상에서 다수의 사용자가 다양한 동작이 접목된 가상현실게임을 공유하여 실시간 협동 플레이를 수행할 수 있는 가상현실게임제어장치 및 그 동작 방법을 제안한다.

A method for utilizing biofeedback information in a video game system comprising: acquiring pulse oximeter data using a pulse oximeter; acquiring environmental context data using environmental sensors; retrieving a player's medical record from a database; transmitting the acquired pulse oximeter data, the acquired environmental context data and the retrieved player's medical record to the video game system; adjusting a target 5 pulse oximeter parameter range based on the transmitted environmental context data and the transmitted player's medical record; and adjusting a gameplay of the video game system based on the transmitted pulse oximeter data in order for the player to reach a pulse oximeter parameter value that lies within the target pulse oximeter parameter range.

A system and method an interactive textile article including a textile material having a design object that includes one or more design object identifiers. The design object is associated with an augmented reality software program configured to include content related the design object. A processor configured to execute the augmented reality program so as to compile a design object depiction based the design object identifiers contained in the design object. The processor executes a first augmented content level of a plurality of augmented content levels so as to display 1) the design object depiction, 2) augmentation elements that are related to the design object, and 3) an input element configured to control the design object depiction and the augmentation elements.
Abstract:
A network-accessible computer comprises a network-communications interface configured to receive player-position data via a computer network. The player-position data indicates a multi-dimensional position for each of a plurality of players participating in a sporting event. The network-accessible computer further comprises a logic machine configured to derive auxiliary information from at least the player-position data, the auxiliary information not included in the player-position data and indicating specific attributes for one or more of the plurality of players during a period of game activity in the sporting event. The logic machine packages the auxiliary information with the player-position data into a client-readable data package usable by a client computing device to construct a user interface visualizing at least the player-position data and auxiliary information. The logic machine sends the client-readable data package to the client computing device via the network-communications interface.

This invention relates to a system and method for encouraging physical activity amongst sedentary persons, typically gamers which lead relatively sedentary lives. The system typically comprises a memory device storing data; and a processor comprising a receiver module and a game data generator module. The receiver module is configured to receive activity data captured by an activity tracking device associated with a gamer, wherein the activity data is indicative of a real-world physical activity of the gamer outside of a gaming session which is typically not necessarily related to a fitness level. The game data generator module is then configured to use received activity data r to generate game data, wherein generated game data is used by a computing device to contribute to in-game progress and/or in-game abilities in a game provided to the gamer by the computing device. In this way, real-world physical activity of the gamer is encouraged.
Abstract:
In a virtual reality environment a user's movements are coupled, meaning the user cannot walk and look in different directions. Discloses are methods and systems for soft decoupling the movements of the user in a virtual reality environment, enabling the user to look and walk in different directions simulating real-world interactions. The soft decoupling is performed by receiving acceleration and orientation data from sensors attached to the user. A heading and a heading delta based on a ratio are calculated. The calculated heading and a velocity are translated into soft decoupling inputs for the virtual reality environment.
