Abstract:
Abstract:
This invention relates to a wearable personal dispensing unit. More specifically, this invention relates to a wearable personal dispensing unit (PDU) which can incorporate a variety of sizes and shapes of wearable anti-bacterial liquid containers. The PDU comprises a two-part casing including: a common base part having a sensor to detect a dispensing operation of an anti-bacterial liquid container encased in the casing, the common base part further comprising one part of a pair of complementary, releasable locking members; and an interchangeable sheath part dimensioned to enclose an anti-bacterial liquid container in co-operation with the common base part, the interchangeable sheath part having the other part of a pair of complementary releasable locking members. A plurality of alternative sheath parts are provided to suit different shaped and sized anti-bacterial liquid containers.
Abstract:
A dispenser has a plunger (3) operable in a pump body (4). The plunger can be locked up or locked down, and formations (88,89) of a pump plunger stem and pump body insert (6) for achieving this are described. Components of the dispenser, including a pump body cylinder/closure component (5), container neck and a pump body insert (6), are rotationally locked together with non-selective alignment and sealed by sliding-fit seals to prevent damage or leakage caused by relative turning of the components in transit.
Abstract:
A closed-loop refillable dispensing system may include one or more reusable or refillable product packages configured to dock with an automated filling station. The automated filling station automatically mixes concentrated chemical product with a diluent and dispenses the resulting chemical product solution. The product package may include a fitment insert configured to mate with a docking connector at the automated filling station. When the product package is removed from the docking connector, the fitment insert provides a positive, leak-proof seal for the product package.
Abstract:
A dispenser includes a housing defining an internal volume. A cartridge is coupled with the housing. A tube extends into the internal volume of the housing. A first liquid is drawn from the internal volume into the tube through a first inlet in the tube when the pump assembly is actuated. A connecting member is positioned in the internal volume of the housing and coupled to the cartridge and the tube. A second liquid is drawn from the cartridge, through the connecting member, and into the tube through a second inlet in the tube when the pump assembly is actuated.
Abstract:
Methods, systems and apparatus for determining product use by acoustically sensing actuations of product dispensers to determine how much product remains, and, optionally, alert a provider when low product states exist.
