Abstract:
Various embodiments, described herein, provide methods and systems for the treatment of plantar fascia. In some embodiments, a method of non-invasive treatment of plantar fasciacan include the steps of identifying a damage location comprising a planter fascia; directing a conformal distribution of ultrasound energy to the plantar fascia at the damage location; creating a plurality of micro lesions in the plantar fascia at the damage location; initiating healing of a plurality of micro tears in the plantar fascia at the damage location; and sparing intervening tissue between the plantar fascia and a surface of a sole of a foot.
Abstract:
Various embodiments provide a method of treating fibrous soft tissue. The method can include the steps of targeting injured fibrous soft tissue located at or near an injury location; directing therapeutic ultrasound energy to the injured fibrous soft tissue; creating a conformal region of elevated temperature in the injured fibrous soft tissue; and creating at least one thermally induced biological effect in the injured fibrous soft tissue. In various embodiments the thermally induced biological effect can be one of coagulation, increased perfusion, reduction of inflammation, generation of heat shock proteins, and initiation of healing cascade.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for dynamic compression of venous tissue enable improved blood movement in the extremities. In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, a pressure pad provides a compressive force to the venous plexus region of the foot. The pressure pad is successively withdrawn and re-pressed against the foot. Improved blood circulation may reduce the occurrence of undesirable complications such as deep vein thrombosis, ulcers, and the like.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, devices and/or apparatuses for a hardened reusable shipping container. The hardened reusable shipping container includes a lid. The lid is configured to be opened and closed. The hardened reusable shipping container includes a base enclosure. The base enclosure is coupled to the lid and has a payload area. The payload area is configured to receive a payload and maintain a temperature of an environment surrounding the payload. The hardened reusable shipping container includes an insert. The insert is configured to be positioned within the payload area to cool or maintain the temperature of the environment surrounding the payload.
Abstract:
Method, system, apparatus, and/or device to secure the vapor plug within the dewar. The vapor plug retention strap includes a first connector, a second connector and a main body. The second connector is configured to couple with the first connector. The main body is coupled in between the first connector and the second connector. The main body has a receptacle formed within that is configured to receive a neck of a vapor plug of a dewar and retain the neck of the vapor plug to secure the vapor plug within the dewar.
Abstract:
A security operations system may receive an alarm in response to a detected threat. The alarm may include characteristics of the threat. The system may then generate a record in response to the alarm and populate a form with the characteristics of the threat. The form may be associated with the record and selected in response to a type of the threat. The system may further generate a workflow including at least one but potentially multiple actions. The system also receives security contextual information in response to a request including the characteristics of the threat or associated indicators of the threat and then updates the form to include the security contextual information. The security operations system can evaluate contextual information and request additional information, as well as leverage workflow to take iterative changes to rulesets and configurations, to provide additional security protection or garner additional information on a threat.
Abstract:
A system for simultaneous multiple point of view video is disclosed. The system may receive a first video stream from a first device, receive a second video stream from a second device, and receive a third video stream from a third device, extract timing data from each of the first video stream, the second video stream, and the third video stream, determine time signatures associated with each of the first video stream, the second video stream, and the third video stream based on the timing data, generate a post-process data based on each of the first video stream, the second video stream, and the third video stream, and align one or more time signatures encoded on the post-process data to generate a production data file comprising a plurality of time synchronized video streams corresponding to each of the first video stream, the second video stream, and the third video stream.
Abstract:
An algal-derived consumable comprises: (i) an algal biomass derived from at least one species of algae, such as Klebsormidium; and (ii) optionally at least one additional ingredient, such as flavoring ingredients, colorants, seasonings, food additives, food components, and nutrients. The consumable may comprise a dietary supplement, a food ingredient or a finished food product. A method of manufacturing a consumable comprises: harvesting raw wet algae, removing water to produce a de-watered algal material; optionally cutting and/or shaping the de-watered material; drying; and optionally seasoning.
Abstract:
An SD emulator card may comprise a processor and a wireless chip. The SD emulator card may be used in a host device with a memory card slot, such as a camera. The host device may communicate with the SD emulator card using standard SD protocol. The SD emulator card may communicate with a portable storage device using a standard communication protocol. The host device may operate as if the SD emulator card were an SD card. However, the data captured by the host device may be stored on the portable storage device. The portable storage device may be a wearable device.
Abstract:
A method of communication between devices is provided. The method comprises receiving a connection request, establishing a connection in response to the connection request, and receiving a first web API request on the connection. The method further comprises executing a first procedure in response to the first web API request, receiving a second web API request on the connection, and executing at least one of the first procedure or a second procedure in response to the second web API request.
