Abstract:
Various embodiments for a three-dimensional structured illumination microscopy system having a mirror positioned in diametric opposition to the objective for producing additional illumination components by a fourth beam generated by the mirror and a computational means for accomplishing the same are disclosed herein.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of a catheter stabilizer that includes a retention body and an occluder for positioning within a burr hole or other channel in the body for occlusion and stabilization of a catheter during a surgical procedure are described herein.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a device for forming incisions and extracting osseous tissue are disclosed. The device includes a body defining a channel. A blade is oriented in linear sliding engagement within the channel of the body. The device includes a stopping mechanism for restricting movement of the blade relative to the body. The device is engageable to an apparatus. The apparatus includes a fixed portion that defines a first end and a second end. A clamp is oriented along the fixed portion of the apparatus adjacent the device. The clamp and the device are collectively configured to remove bone tissue from a patient.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for three-dimensional fluorescence polarization excitation that generates maps of positions and orientation of fluorescent molecules in three or more dimensions are disclosed.
Abstract:
Embodiments of golf gloves having a cut out portion and methods to manufacture gloves having a cut out portion are generally described herein. Other embodiments of gloves may be described and claimed.
Abstract:
Hydrogel compositions that include an albumin/N-acetyl cysteine solution and an aqueous suspension of calcium salts or mixture of calcium and magnesium salts are described. Also described are methods of producing and using the hydrogel compositions as a support scaffold for mineralizing connective tissue replacement and repair.
Abstract:
A multi-lumen aspirator device (10) having an elongated body (12) with a plurality of lumens (14) disposed therein for reducing the sound level generated during the operation of the device (10) is disclosed. The elongated body (12) defines a proximal opening (20) that communicates with a distal opening (22) through an inner conduit (22). The plurality of lumens (14) is disposed within the inner conduit (18) such that a central lumen (14A) of the plurality of lumens (14) is surrounded by the remaining plurality of lumens (14B-G) such that laminar flow is established through the multi-lumen aspirator device (10) that promotes the reduction in sound generated by the multi-lumen aspirator device (10) during operation.
