Abstract:
This disclosure is related to devices, systems, and techniques for controlling access to network services based on a trust ledger. In some examples, a trust broker system enables a relying party to control network service access of client device, where the trust broker system comprises one or more computing devices configured to maintain a trust ledger including a trust account balance (TAB) associated with each user of a set of users, where the TAB associated with each user of the set of users represents a value used to determine whether the respective user is permitted to access a resource.
Abstract:
A device for decoding video data includes a memory configured to store video data; and one or more processors implemented in circuitry and configured to: determine a deterministic bounding box from which to retrieve reference samples of reference pictures of video data for performing decoder-side motion vector derivation (DMVD) for a current block of the video data; derive a motion vector for the current block according to DMVD using the reference samples within the deterministic bounding box; form a prediction block using the motion vector; and decode the current block using the prediction block.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for a UE to determine whether to maintain or remove a radio frequency (RF) path from a set of candidate paths considered for transmit antenna switch diversity (ASDIV). The determination allows the UE to avoid signal loss or degradation in coexisting networks at similar frequency ranges. For example, ASDIV allows two or more antennas to form different input and output ports to establish different RF paths. Coexistent networks, such as wireless wide-area-network (WWAN) and wireless local- area-network (WLAN) may utilize different RF paths to optimize reliability and efficiency. The overlapping of the bands may cause signal attenuation or degradation from at least one of the networks. The present disclosure provides techniques for detecting signal attenuation at least partially caused by overlapping bands and removing an associated RF path to avoid such signal loss or attenuation.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for detecting a potential collision between a scheduled uplink transmission and a synchronization signal block (SSB) and transmitting the scheduled uplink transmission. For example, in cases of inter-cell multi-transmission and reception points (multi-TRP), a user equipment (UE) may not be capable of simultaneously transmitting and receiving on the multiple serving cells. A first serving cell may indicate to the UE of SSB indices that are actually transmitted for a second serving cell. If there is a slot collision between one of the SSB to be transmitted and a scheduled uplink transmission, the UE may not be able to handle such collision. The present disclosure provides techniques for detecting a potential collision between a scheduled uplink transmission and one of the SSBs and transmitting the scheduled uplink transmission when one or more conditions are met.
Abstract:
An example device for retrieving media data includes a memory configured to store media data; and one or more processors implemented in circuitry and configured to: send a request to retrieve media data according to a background data transfer to a media streaming application function (AF); in response to the request, receive an indication of a background data transfer opportunity from the media streaming AF; in response to the indication of the background data transfer opportunity, retrieve the media data according to the background data transfer; and store the retrieved media data to the memory.
Abstract:
In one example, a device for recommending an optimization strategy for software includes a memory storing data for a sparse matrix including empty cells and non-empty cells, wherein non-empty cells of the sparse matrix represent ratings for optimization strategies previously applied to programs, and one or more hardware-based processors configured to predict values for empty cells of a sparse matrix, fill the empty cells with the predicted values to produce a complete matrix, determine, for a current program that was not included in the programs of the sparse matrix, a recommended optimization strategy that yields a highest rating from the complete matrix, and provide an indication of the recommended optimization strategy.
Abstract:
An example device for requesting a reduced resolution for video data includes a memory configured to store video data; and one or more processors implemented in circuitry and configured to: decode a first sequence of pictures of a bitstream, the first sequence of pictures having a first resolution; in response to determining that the device is to enter a power saving mode, send a message requesting a reduced resolution relative to the first resolution for a second sequence of pictures, the second sequence of pictures being subsequent to the first sequence of pictures in coding order; and decode the second sequence of pictures of the video data of the bitstream, the second sequence of pictures having the reduced resolution. The reduced resolution may be reduced spatial resolution, reduced temporal resolution (frame rate), or both.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for multi-slot transport block transmission for multiple transmission reception points (multi-TRP). A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving scheduling for at least one transport block to be transmitted across a plurality of slots. The method also includes transmitting a first portion of encoded bits associated with the at least one transport block across at least one of the plurality of slots with a first set of transmission parameters. The method further includes transmitting a second portion of the encoded bits associated with the at least one transport block across at least another one of the plurality of slots with a second set of transmission parameters.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications by a user equipment. An example method generally includes transmitting, on a sidelink channel using a first power level, a reservation of a resource for a sidelink transmission by the UE; determining to use a second power level for the reserved resource for the sidelink transmission; and transmitting on the sidelink channel on the reserved resource using the second power level.
Abstract:
Techniques are described for calculating one or more verbal fluency scores for a person. An example method includes classifying, by a computing device, samples of audio data of speech of a person, based on amplitudes of the samples, into a first class of samples including speech or sound and a second class of samples including silence. The method further includes analyzing the first class of samples to determine a number of words spoken by the person, and calculating a verbal fluency score for the person based at least in part on the determined number of words spoken by the person.
