    Abstract: A silicone-polyolefin composition is disclosed. The silicone-polyolefin composition comprises (A) a polysiloxane, (B) a functionalized polyolefin, and (C) a curable silicone elastomer component. The polysiloxane (A) comprises an average of at least one functional group X per molecule, and the functionalized polyolefin (B) comprises an average of at least one functional group Y per molecule, where the functional group X and functional group Y are reactable to form a bond therebetween. A silicone-polyolefin blend, a curable composition comprising the silicone-polyolefin blend, a cured product of the curable composition, and methods of preparing the silicone-polyolefin blend, curable composition, and cured product are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A method of preparing catalyst particles (the "preparation method") is disclosed. The preparation method comprises combining a Ru(0) complex and a carrier fluid to form a mixture and heating the mixture at an elevated temperature to nucleate the Ru(0) complex and give the catalyst particles in the carrier fluid. The preparation method optionally comprises isolating the catalyst particles from the carrier fluid. A method of preparing an organosilicon compound via dehydrogenative silylation with the catalyst particles (the "synthesis method") is also disclosed. The synthesis method comprises reacting (A) an organohydridochlorosilane compound and (B) an alkene compound in the presence of (C) a catalyst, thereby preparing the organosilicon compound. The catalyst (C) of the synthesis method comprises the catalyst particles prepared by the preparation method.

    Abstract: A composition for forming a release coating is disclosed. The composition comprises (A) the reaction product of (1) a branched organopolysiloxane including M, D and Q siloxy units and an average of at least two silicon-bonded ethylenically un saturated groups per molecule; and (2) an organosilicon compound having an average of at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule; in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst.     Abstract: A method of treating a surface is provided. The method includes disposing a condensation reduction composition on the surface, thereby treating the surface to reduce formation of condensate and/or an amount of condensate thereon. The condensation reduction composition comprises a surface-active agent comprising an alkyl polyglycoside. The condensation reduction composition may further comprise a preservative, a pH control agent, and/or water. A treated surface prepared in accordance with the method is also provided. The method and treated surface prepared therewith are useful in reducing condensate and/or formation of condensate on surfaces, e.g. by reducing the number of condensate drops falling from the surface, increasing the rate of condensate evaporation on the surface, and/or increasing the rate of water absorption into or through the surface, e.g. upon or during exposure of the treated surface to a condensation condition.

    Abstract: An improved power steering assembly is provided. The power steering assembly includes an end-of-travel mechanism and a valve cartridge that is actuated by left and right actuator rings of the end-of-travel mechanism, the actuator rings extending partially around an output shaft. The actuator rings can be individually set for the desired end-of-travel relief to limit the maximum system pressure when the steering assembly approaches the desired axle stop setting. The valve cartridge provides an end-of-travel function and a pressure relief function and is in fluid communication with the left and right pressure chambers to recirculate hydraulic fluid in the event of a power off condition.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing silicon nanoparticles in a plasma reactor including a reaction chamber presenting an inner surface. The method includes introducing a halogen gas into the reaction chamber of the plasma reactor. The method further includes igniting a plasma within the reaction chamber while the halogen gas is present within the reaction chamber. Atoms of the halogen gas at least partially form a coating on the inure surface of the reaction chamber. The method includes introducing a reactant gas mixture including a silicon precursor gas and a first inert gas into the reaction chamber of the plasma reactor. The method also includes forming the silicon nanoparticles in the plasma reactor. A silicon nanoparticles composition is also disclosed. The silicon nanoparticles composition comprises the silicon nanoparticles produced according to the method.
