Abstract:
The present invention is related to recycling of fermentable and metabolizable biomass materials for sequentially performing a cultivation of fungal cells and for producing biogas by anaerobic fermentation of said biomass materials.
Abstract:
The invention regards a method of pH regulating biomass residues, comprising the steps of: - providing biomass residue comprising solid and liquid parts, - exposing the biomass to one or more separation steps, wherein said biomass is separated into one or more solid fractions having a reduced content of water, and one or more fluid fractions, - adding a pH regulator to the biomass residue, and/or the one or more solid fractions, and/or the one or more fluid fractions, wherein the pH regulator comprises a juice derived from agricultural biomass and/or fish manure.
Abstract:
The invention regards a system and a method for treating biomass with a gas, said system comprising: at least one conduit (2) comprising: at least one biomass inlet (3) and at least one biomass outlet (4), at least one gas inlet (5) and at least one gas outlet (6), said system further comprising: a transport unit (7, 8) configured to move the biomass through the conduit from the at least one biomass inlet (3) to the at least one biomass outlet (4) thereby defining a biomass transport direction, and wherein the system is configured such that gas flowing from the at least one gas inlet (5) to the at least one gas outlet (6) crosses the biomass transport direction.
Abstract:
The invention regards a system 100 for processing an agricultural waste biomass product into a grinded product, comprising: - a cutting and mixing unit 6 configured for cutting and mixing harvested biomass to a first uniform size and blend, - a grinder unit 9 configured for cutting biomass to a second uniform size, wherein the cutting and mixing unit is in fluid communication with the grinder unit through a first transport unit 7 configured for transporting the biomass from the cutting and mixing unit to the grinder unit.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a fibrous solid substrate in pellet form suitable for use in agriculture. The fibrous solid substrate in pellet form is obtained from spent biomass material following an anaerobic fermentation and biogas production. Further disclosed is a method for cultivating fungal cells and/or spores using said fibrous solid substrate in pellet form. Also disclosed are methods for upgrading spent biomass material from a biogas production unit to fertilizer products, fibers and substrate for biogas.
