Abstract:
The invention concerns a pigment paste containing water, at least one pigment, at least one water-dilutable binder and solvents, wetting agents and other additives conventional for pigment pastes. The pigment paste comprises: (A) between 25 and 80 wt.% deionized water; (B) between 10 and 65 wt.% of at least one iron oxide pigment; (C) between 5 and 30 wt.% of at least one water-dilutable polyurethane resin; (D) between 5 and 30 wt.% of at least one water-dilutable polyester resin; (E) between 0.2 and 10 wt.% ammonia and/or of at least one amine; (F) between 0 and 25 wt.% of at least one organic solvent which can be at least partially mixed with water; and (G) between 0 and 5 wt.% of a dispersion aid.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a mechanically sealing closure, preferably made of metal or plastic, with an insert which acts as a sealing element, for receptacles, in particular bottles and jars, the insert being made of at least one polyolefin produced using metallocenes as catalysts.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a laminate containing thermoplastic polyurethane stabilized against ultraviolet radiation and based on diisocyanates, diols as chain extension agents, polytetrahydrofuran or linear polyesterdiols.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a new method and a new device for applying sprayable lacquers to the inner surface of unilaterally open packaging (2), in particular of drinks cans, during the production of packaging, in particular drinks cans, in which method and device use is made on the production line of new types of spray heads (1) which have a dispensing head (6) with a plurality of spray nozzles. The atomising cone axes coming from at least two of these spray nozzles are arranged so as to be convex, i.e. they converge and overlap. The spray nozzles are mounted on the dispensing head (6) sides facing the packaging opening. The sides concerned incline towards the axis of rotation (12) of the turning, unilaterally open packaging with the result that the spray outlines (3a, 3b, 3c) which come from the spray nozzles hit at an angle the neck of the packaging "neck", the packaging body directly behind the "neck" ("neck shadow"), the packaging body, the inwardly-arched packaging bottom ("dome") and the bearing ring integrated into the packaging bottom ("rim"). Uncoated parts of the inner surface are then completely coated using a conventional spray head. However, it is also possible firstly to coat using a conventional spray head and subsequently a new type of spray head. The new process produces inner coatings in a very purposeful manner with either a uniform or substantially uniform thickness, or different thicknesses depending on the area.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method of removing, by oxidation at the anode, the acid formed during the deposition of the paint coating in cathodic electro-dip coating, the anodes used being coated with a layer of ruthenium oxide, irridium oxide of tin oxide, or a mixture of these oxides.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a laminate comprising: a) a plastics foil; b) an adhesion-promoting layer based on polyurethane containing one or a plurality of polyester diols with a molecular weight of between 600 and 1200, preferably between 800 and 1000; c) optionally a further plastics foil; d) optionally a further polyurethane-based adhesion-promoting layer; e) optionally a varnish layer; f) optionally a filler layer; and g) a carrier material layer, preferably of plastics, wood or metal.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a substrate coated with fabric (1), preferably comprising textiles fibres, wherein an adhesive (7) is applied to the surface of the substrate and comprises copolymers which have carboxyl or anhydride groups or groups which can be hydrolysed to form carboxyl groups.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a coating of a substrate, preferably glass, a silane coupling agent layer and at least one layer of radiation-curing lacquer obtainable by applying a preparation containing at least water and silane to the substrate, subsequently applying the lacquer coating and curing the layers together by means of u/v light or electron beam radiation.
Abstract:
A process and device are disclosed for separating the water contained in aqueous, paint-like dispersions by means of a membrane filter that is permeable to molecular components having a maximum size from 100 to 500 daltons. The invention is for example useful for recycling water lacquers in spray booths.
