Abstract:
Typical coating compositions for sealing built structures and/or flat roofs at the present time contain solvents, water or toxic substances such as bitumen or isocyanates. The coating composition claimed overcomes this problem by virtue of a viscosity- controlled composition comprising at least two methoxy- alkyl-silane-terminated polyoxypropylene products.
Abstract:
A sound-absorbing, moisture-resistant lining useful for interior surfaces of a car body. The lining is a flexible cold-curable polyurethane foam obtained in the absence of any organic foaming agent. Application to a motor vehicle part containing such a lining in the form of a door assembly wherein the said lining is attached to the door by over fitting a laminated panel.
Abstract:
A hot melt adhesive composition comprises a combination of polymers including a low molecular weight semicrystalline propylene based polymer and a high molecular weight essentially amorphous propylene based polymer, both of which are prepared by using single-site catalysts, along with a wax, a hydrogenated styrene block copolymer, a tackifier, and a plasticizer. The composition has suitable viscosity ranging from 500 cP to 40,000 cP at 177°C and is useful for a variety of industrial applications where bonding of low surface energy substrates and elastic substrates is encountered, including disposable nonwoven hygienic articles. The cooled adhesive in the laminate does not feel hard but instead has a soft feel, even though the adhesive demonstrates a relatively high Shore A hardness.
Abstract:
The invention provides a dispensing system for viscous liquids (50) comprising suspended large particulate material (60), the system comprising a deformable container having an outlet nozzle (30), the container holding the viscous liquid (50). It has been found that this combination of features enables a viscous liquid (50) which may otherwise give rise to frequent blockages and difficult dispensing of a liquid through a constriction, such as in the nozzle (30), to be evenly, reproducibly and continuously dispensed as a manual operation. Figure 6 best illustrates the present invention.
Abstract:
1) Wax-containing hot melt adhesive comprising 1 to 40 % of a styrenic block copolymer (a), 3 to 15 % of a modified thermoplastic elastomer (b) comprising -COO- groups, and 5 to 25 % of a wax (c). 2) Disposable absorbent article employing said hot melt adhesive. The article bonded by the hot melt adhesive of the present invention has excellent creep resistance and aging resistance.
