Abstract: A surgical base assembly for an MRI-guided interventional system includes a base body, a plurality of thumbwheels held by the base body and coupled to a respective plurality of threaded members that extend therethrough whereby a user can rotate the thumbwheels to lift the base body to a desired stand-off location relative to patient. The base assembly can couple to a trajectory defining an intrabody trajectory axis and being configured to guide placement of an interventional device in vivo. The threaded members can have sharp tips configured to penetrate bone and/or tissue of the body.

Abstract: Surgical systems and methods for an MRI suite include a housing residing in an MRI scanner room of the MRI suite. Abstract: Surgical planning systems that automatically identify one or a plurality of different candidate trajectories to a defined intrabody treatment region. The systems can rank the identified candidate trajectories in an order of hierarchy based on defined parameters such as distance from a critical no-go location and whether a single or multiple different candidate trajectories are needed to provide coverage of the defined intrabody treatment region. The surgical planning systems are also configured to provide a User Interface that defines a workflow for an image-guided surgical procedure and allows a user to select one or more of the identified candidate trajectories steps in the workflow.

Abstract: Devices for transferring fluid to or from a subject include an extension tube assembly with an axially extending inner tube configured to couple to an elongate tubular cannula having opposing proximal and distal ends with an axially extending lumen and an axially extending inner tube. The inner tube extending through the tubular cannula defines an exposed needle tip and is in fluid communication with the inner tube of the extension tube assembly. The needle tip extends out of a distal end of the tubular cannula a suitable distance.
