Abstract:
A method for obtaining self-cleaning and self-sanitizing surfaces of finished leather, comprising the steps of deposition of two coating layers containing respective active mixtures on the finished leather surface, in which a first active mixture comprises a film-forming compound based on polymers and filler, a flow additive compound, a cross-linking compound, an anti-oxidant compound and an aqueous dispersion, and a second active mixture comprises a water-based auxiliary flow additive compound, a silicone emulsion, a solvent aliphatic prepolymer, a photo-catalyst compound, a water repellent agent, a biocide action powder agent and solvent agents and/or wetting agents and/or dispersing agents and/or anti foam agents.
Abstract:
A thermally conductive modified synthetic or natural leather material adapted for a lining of a product, in particular for the passenger compartment of a vehicle, comprising a thermally conductive agent including graphene particles; wherein - at least a portion of the material is impregnated with the thermally conductive agent comprising graphene particles at a sufficient concentration to provide thermal conductivity in the modified material; the modified material having a thermal decay of 29% or more starting from 0 70°C at ambient temperature of 21°C in less than 20 seconds.

Abstract:
Process for tanning leathers with triazine derivatives comprising at least the steps of transforming a raw animal skin into a de-calcined leather, placing the de- calcined leather in a container with water at room temperature, rotating said container, adding a triazine derivative, dissolved in water, in a concentration ranging between 5.5% and 22%, with respect to the pelt weight, or adding water soluble condensing agents, and draining and washing in water.
Abstract:
A method of antibacterial and antiviral surface treatment of flexible cover sheet materials, comprising at least the steps of providing a flexible cover sheet substrate (S), selected from hides and skins, depositing at least one lower support layer (2, 2I 2II, 2III) on the upper surface of the substrate (S), providing an antibacterial and antiviral formulation comprising a liquid active sanitizing composition dispersed in a solvent containing a polymer-based solution, depositing the formulation on at least one lower support layer (2, 2I, 2II, 2III) to form an upper antibacterial and antiviral active layer (1, 1I, 1II, 1III), heating the cover substrate (S) to cause evaporation of the solvent of an upper active layer (1, 1I, 1II, 1III). The active sanitizing composition contains silver chloride and solid-state titanium dioxide of nanometric size and the active sanitizing composition ranges from 0.1 % to 2.5% by weight, the solvent ranges from 8% to 80% by weight, and the polymer-based solution ranges from 15% to 80% by weight based on the total weight (100%) of the formulation, depending on the use to which the ) treated cover substrate (S) is intended, to inhibit proliferation of bacterial and viral pathogens on the surface of the substrate (S), while keeping the properties of the materials thereof unaltered.
