    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for assisting a clinician in determining a cancer diagnosis. The method comprises analyzing gene copy numbers obtained from for example from gene chips. The gene copy numbers are analyzed in order to derive or extract genome features which emphasize abnormal gene copy numbers of the genome. Various methods may be used for extracting such genome features. By using a classifier, the genome features can be classified in order to determine a medical outcome which can be used by a clinician for making a diagnosis.
