The present invention relates to an automatic purification device for separating a target substance from a plurality of biological samples, and more specifically relates to an automatic biological sample purification device having a magnetic-field-applying unit for purifying the biological sample; the magnetic-field-applying unit being integrated with a heating part in such a way as to allow vertical movement. Also, the present invention relates to a method for extracting a target substance from a biological sample by using the automatic biological sample purification device having the magnetic-field-applying unit.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, containing an extract of Lysimachia clethroides. More particularly, the extract of Lysimachia clethroides strongly inhibits NAD(P)H oxidases, which are the main cause of vascular diseases, and at the same time, regulates contraction and relaxation of vascular smooth muscles to manifest a potent vasorelaxant effect, thereby improving the blood pressure regulation and vascular endothelial dysfunction. Therefore, a composition containing this as an active ingredient can be usefully utilized as a pharmaceutical prodvct or health functional food prodvct for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

The present invention relates to a preparation method of metal oxide, and more specifically to a preparation method of metal oxide comprising the steps of : a) dissolving metal halide in a solvent; b) adding and reacting water or metal hydroxide having strong basicity; c) adding base to the reaction solution and then raising a temperature thereof to form the metal oxide -carbon complex; d) stopping the reaction by inputting a large amount of water or metal hydroxide and raising the temperature thereof; and e) obtaining the metal oxide-carbon complex by a separation and a cleaning.

The present invention relates to a blend of polyolefin comprising a modified chlorinated polypropylene. This invention provides a blend of polyolefin comprising a novel amine modified chlorinated polypropylene capable of improving printability by promoting adhesion with ink when the ink is printed or coated on plastic products including film and sheet. The present invention provides a novel blend of polyolefin comprising a modified chlorinated polypropylene, which is prepared by substituting 1-99.9 mole % of chlorine of a chlorinated polypropylene, whose chlorine content is 1- 75 wt% and whose number average molecular weight is 100-400,000, with ammonia or an amine compound and is capable of improving dyeability and adhesion performance. This invention also provides the modified chlorinated polypropylene and a method for preparing the same.

The present invention relates to an Poncirus trifoliata extract having the effect of preventing or treating ischemic heart disease, as well as a pharmaceutical composition and health food for the prevention or treatment of ischemic heart diseases, which contain the Poncirus trifoliata extract. The inventive Poncirus trifoliata extract and the pharmaceutical composition and health food containing the same have the effect of recovering the heart which fails to function properly by ischemic heart diseases. Accordingly, they will be useful for the prevention or treatment of ischemic heart diseases, such as angina and myocardial infarction.

Methods for differentiating human embryonic stem cells into specific cell types are disclosed herein. These methods can be used to generate synaptically active dopaminergic neurons. In one embodiment, the differentiated cells are neuronal cells that can be used in the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's disease. Methods are also disclosed herein for differentiating human embryonic stem cells into cells of the endoderm, mesoderm, and ectoderm.

The inventive indene derivatives of formula (I) are capable of selectively modulating the activities of peroxisome proliferator activated receptors (PPARs), causing no adverse side effects, and thus, they are useful for the treatment and prevention of disorders modulated by PPARs, i.e., metabolic syndromes such as diabetes, obesity, arteriosclerosis, hyperlipidemia, hyperinsulinism and hypertension, inflammatory diseases such as osteoporosis, liver cirrhosis and asthma, and cancer.

The present invention relates to a forced evaporative humidifier using nanosteam, and the forced evaporative humidifier using nanostream according to the present invention comprises: a housing having gas vent holes made in the upper surface thereof, and having gas-suction holes made in one side of the front surface thereof; a water tank which is positioned below the gas-suction holes and stores water; a spray unit which comprises a spray nozzle positioned above the gas-suction holes, a pump which draws up the water of the water tank into the spray nozzle, and a forwarding tube for moving the water being drawn up by means of the pump; a blower fan which is positioned above the spray nozzle, and forwards air towards the gas vent holes of the housing; a humidification unit obtained by the transverse lamination of a body surface, which is positioned below the spray nozzle and is formed such that the water sprayed from the spray nozzle will flow, and a thin plate comprising a plurality of tubular spacers formed projecting on the body surface; and an eliminator which is positioned between the blower fan and the spray nozzle and prevents the scattering of water droplets contained in humid air that has been humidified in the humidification unit.
