Abstract:
The present invention relates to microorganisms of Corynebacterium having 5'-inosinic acid productivity in which the expression of genes for coding a purine biosynthesis enzyme is increased more than the intrinsic expression. The present invention also relates to a method for producing nucleic acids, comprising the step of culturing microorganisms of Corynebacterium with improved 5'-inosinic acid productivity.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a window locking apparatus which prevents crime by restricting movement of a sliding window (2) installed in a window frame (1). According to the present invention, the locking apparatus (10) for a window comprises a window side-locking unit (20) which is installed in the window (2) and a window frame side-locking unit (60) which is installed in the window frame (1). For preventing intruder access to the window (2), a stop member (40) of the window frame side-locking unit (60) contacts a holding member (22) of the window side-locking unit (20) through vertical movement thereof in order to restrict the movement of the window. According to the present invention, the locking apparatus for the window comprises the window side-locking unit (20) which is installed in the window (2) and the window frame side-locking unit (60) which is installed in the window frame (1). The stop member (40) of the window frame side-locking unit (60) contacts the holding member (22) of the window side-locking unit (20) through vertical movement thereof in order to restrict the movement of the window, so fabrication, maintenance, and repair are facilitated by a relatively simple composition, and the locking apparatus is relatively smaller. Especially, in the locking apparatus according to the present invention, the stop member (40) can be separated from the holding member (22) of the window side-locking unit (20) by a manipulation lever (62) of the window frame side-locking unit (60), thereby facilitating assembly and minimizing abrasion between components caused by contact with a locking element. In addition, in the case of a dual window, separate inner and outer windows can be composed, thus the open positions of the inner and outer windows can be differently arranged.

Disclosed herein are a composition for cell dedifferentiation containing selenium, a method of dedifferentiating cells by treating the cells with selenium, dedifferentiated cells obtained using the method, a composition for cell therapy containing the dedifferentiated cells, cells re-differentiated from the dedifferentiated cells, and a composition for cell therapy containing the re- differentiated cells. The disclosed dedifferentiated cells and the cells re-differentiated therefrom can be used as therapeutic agents for treating various diseases.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the development of 5'- xanthylic acid (XMP) aminase mutants having enhanced activity using artificial mutagenesis. The 5'-XMP aminase mutants were obtained by performing error-prone PCR to introduce mutations into the native 5'-XMP aminase gene, screening the resulting mutant library for highly active 5'-XMP aminase, performing molecular evolution using the obtained highly active 5'-XMP aminase mutant as a parent gene to obtain 5 ' -XMP aminase having much higher activity, and determining nucleotide sequences of the resulting mutants. The 5'-XMP aminase mutants effectively convert 5 ' -XMP to 5 ' -guanylic acid because they have higher activity than the native form.
Abstract:
A fluidized membrane bioreactor comprising a bioreactor including biochemically active organisms; fluidized particles which is a support media to be attached by the organisms; and membranes which permit treated water to pass through except the organisms, wherein the fluidized particles are in direct contact with the membranes. The membranes are installed internally or externally to the bioreactor. The particles may be granular activated carbon or other suitable materials. The fluidized particles serve not only as support media for microorganisms, but also as media for sorption or otherwise retention of matter that can cause membrane fouling and as an abrasive material for cleaning the membrane surface.
