Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for purifying a large amount of human granulocyte-colony stimulating factors (hG-CSFs) from a recombinant E. coli with high yield and purity. According to the method of the present invention, human granulocyte-colony stimulating factor, identical to the native form expressed in the human body, can be easily purified with high yield and purity without an additional activation process. In particular, according to the purification method of the present invention, hG-CSF variants expressed in E. coli are efficiently removed to obtain physiologically active hG-CSFs with high purity.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a liquid formulation in which a long-acting INFα conjugate that has improved in vivo duration and stability can be stored stably for a long period of time. It comprises a stabilizer comprising a buffer, a sugar alcohol, a non-ionic surfactant and an isotonic agent. Being free of human serum albumin and other potential factors harmful to the body, the liquid formulation is free of concerns about viral infections and guarantees excellent storage stability to long-acting INFα conjugates.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a high-speed sealift system which meets the requirement of the 21st century. In the 21st century, the indispensable requisites for a commercial sealift system that is to be deployed across the five oceans are high speed and stability. The present invention relates to a high-speed sealift system which operates at the super-high speed of 40 knots to 70 knots, and which is capable of the marine transport, in a quick and safe manner, of perishable goods, expensive capital goods, goods the volume or weight of which result in them being incapable of being transported via the air, strategic military goods, and capable of the large-scale redeployment of forces, and particularly, parts or equipment and materials which require a timely arrival. The sealift system of the present invention operates by means a marine transportation principle in which elevation force, found from Newton's law of physics that indicates that "the change of momentum of a body is proportional to the impulse impressed on the body," is applied to tires. When a planning gear of the high-speed sealift system is lowered to enable tires to contact water at a speed higher than a predetermined threshold speed, the elevation force corresponding to the distribution weight of the system is generated at the contact surfaces of the tires, such that the system travels on the water at the travel speed of the tires. That is, the transportation effects of the system are the same as those achieved when a vehicle travels at a high speed on a highway with the tires thereof on the ground. According to one embodiment of the present invention, in which a 2000 ton high-speed sealift system is designed in accordance with the marine transportation principle of the present invention, the system is propelled by two 55,000 horsepower water-jet pumps when traveling at a maximum high speed of 65 knots, while a total of 80 tires including 16 front tires and 64 rear tires support the weight of the system on the water at a speed of 5 knots or higher by planning components.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for mass-producing a physiologically active protein or peptide using a fusion protein composed of the physiologically active protein or peptide and an immunoglobulin fragment. The present invention also provides such a fusion protein, a DNA encoding the fusion protein, an expression vector comprising the DNA, and a microorganism transformed with the expression vector.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a surface expression vector of an antigen of shrimp white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) and a microorganism transformed with the vector. More particularly, the present invention relates to a surface expression vector comprising a gene encoding an antigen of shrimp WSSV and a gene encoding a poly-gamma-glutamate synthetase complex, a bacterium transformed with the vector, and a vaccine for treating or preventing disease caused by shrimp WSSV and a feedstuff additive, which contain a bacterium having the shrimp WSSV antigen expressed on the surface thereof or a crude extracted antigen from the bacterium as an effective ingredient. The inventive bacterium having the shrimp WSSV antigen expressed on the surface thereof or a crude extracted antigen of shrimp WSSV from the bacterium can be used as a vaccine or a feedstuff additive to prevent and treat viral disease caused by shrimp WSSV, thus it contributes to avoiding mass death of crustaceans caused by shrimp WSSV as well as increasing profits in fish farming and fisheries.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for an immunopotentiator(adjuvant) containing poly-gamma-glutamic acid and a composition for a vaccine containing the immunopotentiator, and more particularly, to an immunopotentiator containing poly-gamma-glutamic acid capable of enhancing antibody production rate by administering it to an animal together with antigen having low immunogenicity, and a composition for a vaccine containing the immunopotentiator and antigen. The inventive adjuvant has almost no toxicity and side effects, and show high antibody titer even when it is used with antigen having poor immunogenicity, so it can be used by adding to medical composition including preventive or curative vaccine for non-contagious chronic diseases as well as cancer, especially prostatic carcinoma, colon carcinoma, lung cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, head and neck cancer, pudendum cancer, bladder cancer, brain tumor and glioma.
Abstract:
The current invention relates to expression vectors that can efficiently produce virion capsid protein, tumor-associated protein of human papillomavirus on a microbial surface and bacterial strains harboring such surface display vectors and the use of the bacterial strains or it's extract, purified products as complex vaccines. More particularly, the present invention relates to surface display vectors contains one or more than two genes selected among pgsB, pgsC and pgsA, encoding a poly- -glutamic acid synthetase complex (pgsBCA) of a Bacillus sp. Strain and genes which encode virion capsid proteins, tumor-associated proteins of human papillomavirus, and method for preparing the same.
