Abstract:
A controlled environment enclosure comprises a robotic arm manipulation system used to protect and unprotect a fluid path within the controlled environment enclosure. The apparatus allows the fluid path to be protected against dangerous decontamination vapors and chemicals before the controlled environment enclosure is decontaminated, the method not requiring the use of gloves or other means that degrade the integrity of the controlled environment enclosure. The apparatus similarly allows the fluid path to be unprotected for use without the use of gloves, the method not requiring the use of gloves or other means that degrade the integrity of the controlled environment enclosure when decontamination is completed. The apparatus and method allow for the protecting, unprotecting and decontaminating sequences to be automated.
Abstract:
A system and method for effecting payment transactions comprising a card reader configured to encrypt a first portion of payment card data received by the card reader from a payment card according to a first encryption scheme associated with the financial institution responsible for an account associated with the payment card and to encrypt a second portion of the payment card data according to a second encryption scheme, where the first portion is sufficient to identify the payment card or account number and to effect a payment transaction involving the payment card or account and where the second portion is sufficient to identify the financial institution but insufficient to identify the payment card or account number.
Abstract:
A gaseous mixture is deposited onto a substrate surface using a showerhead. A first plenum of the showerhead has a plurality of channels fluidicly coupled with an interior of a processing chamber. A second plenum gas flows through a plurality of tubes extending from a second plenum of the showerhead through the channels into the interior of the processing chamber. The diameter of the tubes is smaller than the diameter of the channels such that a first plenum gas flows into the interior of the processing chamber through a space defined between the outer surface of the tubes and the surface of the channels. The length and diameter of the tubes determine the level of distribution and the molar ratio of the first gas and the second gas in the gaseous mixture that is deposited on the surface of the substrate.
Abstract:
A gaseous mixture is deposited onto a substrate (135) surface using a showerhead (130). A first plenum (210) of the showerhead has a plurality of channels (235) fluidicly coupled with an interior of a processing chamber (105) A second plenum gas flows through a plurality of tubes (240) extending from a second plenum (215) of the showerhead through the channels (235) into the interior of the processing chamber.
