    摘要: A method for collecting and delivering biological samples to a destination, such as an analyzer are provided herein. In one example, a plurality of samples, each including particles, is obtained from respective wells of a sample source having a plurality of wells. The plurality of samples are introduced into a fluid flow stream contained within a conduit having an inner diameter and in communication with a destination. An inner surface of the conduit is coated with a hydrogel barrier substance, such as poly-HEMA. The fluid flow stream is guided through the conduit to a destination. In one example, the destination may be a flow cytometer. Methods of preparing a poly-HEMA solution and coating the inner surface of a conduit with poly-HEMA are also provided.

    摘要: A controlled environment enclosure comprises a robotic arm manipulation system used to protect and unprotect a fluid path and a swab within the controlled environment enclosure. The apparatus allows the fluid path to be protected against dangerous decontamination vapors and chemicals before the controlled environment enclosure is decontaminated. The apparatus allows the fluid path to be unprotected without the use of gloves or other means that degrade the integrity of the controlled environment enclosure when decontamination is completed. The apparatus and method allow for the protecting, unprotecting and decontaminating sequences to be automated. In some embodiments the fluid path comprises a fill needle that can removably and aseptically be sealed with a disposable monolithic injection moulded polymeric fill needle sheath. The apparatus and method further allow for the use of a swab disposed in a swab holder that is aseptically and removably sealable to a swab cap to protect the swab against decontamination vapors.

The slide structure includes a support layer, a tissue slice seated on an upper center of the support layer, and a liquid cover slip formed to surround an exposed surface of the tissue slice completely and made of a polyvinyl pyrrolidone polymer having a molecular weight of 10,000 to 360,000 as a main component. Thus, optical resolution is improved to enable micro observation of a tissue slice and precise selection of a micro region. In addition, the tissue slice keeps a non-aqueous state to be isolated from the air, so macromolecules in the tissue slice are not destructed or denatured.
