Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of lubricating a driveline device comprising supplying to the driveline device a lubricating composition comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity and an aromatic hydroxy-substituted compound. The invention further provides for the use of the lubricating composition comprising the aromatic hydroxy-substituted compound as at least one of a filterability aid, and a wax crystal growth modifier/gelation inhibitor in the driveline device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to improvements in or relating to air freshening or purifying devices in the form of sheets. The invention therefore provides an air freshening or purifying sheet (10) comprising a substrate in the form of a sheet having opposing surfaces, wherein a releasable adhesive (11) is applied to at least one region of one of said surfaces, and at least another region of one or both of said surfaces being coated with a layer of an air freshening or purifying composition in which the said composition is a gel composition resulting from the cross-linking in situ, of a homopolymer or copolymer in the presence of a perfuming, deodorising or insecticidal base.
Abstract:
The invention pertains to a dish washer product in the form of a multi-layered tablet containing a bleaching agent, a bleach activator, a sliver/copper corrosion protection agent and other standard components. The silver/copper corrosion protection agent is not present in the same layer as the bleaching agent and bleach activator.
Abstract:
A composition suitable for use as an additive to lubricating oils comprises a mixture of alkaline earth metal sulphurised hydrocarbyl phenates having hydrocarbyl substituents derived from (i) either propylene tetramer or butylene trimer and (ii) at least one alkene having greater than 12 carbon atoms. As compared with a composition comprising hydrocarbyl phenate derived from propylene tetramer or butylene trimer alone the compositions of the invention are more compatible with hydrocarbyl sulphonates, commonly found with phenates in lubricating oil additive packages.
Abstract:
The present invention provides energy and economically efficient and environmentally responsible processes for using acetone to dry, dehydrate and/or dewater various hydrated feedstocks.
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for maximizing efficiency of tissue removal from body passageways is provided. A rotational atherectomy device comprises, inter alia, an elongated, flexible and rotatable drive shaft with an enlarged cutting surface disposed thereon, guide wire and catheter. The distal end of catheter may have a cutting surface cleaner, either attached thereto or integrated therein. The cleaner may be outwardly radially flexible and biased against the drive shaft. The cleaner may be opened to accommodate the enlarged cutting surface for cleaning particles trapped therein as a consequence of abrading as it is either advanced distally over the drive shaft and/or the drive shaft is retracted proximally toward the cleaner to accommodate the diameter of the enlarged cutting section. The cleaner comprises an inner surface having an abrasive surface for mechanically scraping and dislodging material trapped in the enlarged cutting head tissue removing surface.
Abstract:
A rotational atherectomy device having, a flexible, elongated, rotatable drive shaft with at least one flexible or partly flexible eccentric enlarged abrading head At least part of the eccentric enlarged cutting head has an abrasive tissue removing surface The abrading head may be at least partially hollow When placed within an artery against stenotic tissue and rotated at sufficiently high speeds the eccentric nature of the enlarged cutting head causes the cutting head and drive shaft to rotate to open the stenotic lesion to a diameter substantially larger than the outer diameter of the enlarged cutting head The eccentric enlarged cutting head has a center of mass spaced radially from the rotational axis of the drive shaft, facilitating opening the stenotic lesion to a diameter substantially larger than the outer diameter of the enlarged cutting head when operated at high speeds
Abstract:
A set of connectors (20), such as electrical or fiber-optic cable connectors, is supported on a holder body (10) to form a ganged array of cable connectors (76). The holder body includes a bearing surface for maintaining a latch release (74) of at least a first one of the cable connectors in a disengaged position to prevent it from latching when the ganged array of connectors is connected to an array of mating connectors. The holder body also defines one or more clearance regions that allow the latch release (88) of at least a second one of the cable connectors to operate, to thereby allow the second cable connector to latch when the set of cable connectors is connected to the array of mating connectors, for releasably retaining the set of cable connectors in place. Spaced-apart clearance regions may be provided for facilitating proper operation and preventing damage to cables and connectors.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of cutting a bioactive glass object which comprises contacting the bioactive glass object with bioactive glass particles delivered using an air abrasion system.
Abstract:
Water-softener composition in powdered form containing at least one perfume, characterised in that the composition contains an effervescent system which is essentially free of surfactants and bleaching agents.
